Ex-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, who alleges that Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski assaulted her, contacted authorities last week after an individual made death threats against her.

I’m going to guess that all of the candidates have had threats of some kind or another, and especially if they are leading candidates.
Bobby Kennedy was assassinated as a candidate, so this isn’t a game.
Michelle Fields isn’t a candidate, but it is apparently not known what the source of the threat is. I doubt seriously that it’s anyone attached to any campaign.

I tend to agree. While this gal may indeed be guilty of being some kind of attention-whore, I’m more taken aback by fevered responses saying she deserved being manhandled, or deserved death-threats. Alongside conspiratorial theories that she inflicted bruises upon herself or sent herself threatening phone-calls and such, in some kind of Establishment-concocted, harm-Trump plan right out of Fu Manchu.
Brings back memories of the unhinged left-wing attacks on Joe the Plumber. I honestly thought conservatives were a bit more intellectually and tempermentally above falling into this kind of crazed-mob nuttiness.

Here’s my official endorsement re: Trump v Cruz, et al: Free Republic will be happy with either of our leading anti-establishment candidates and is committed to supporting whichever of these two fine pro-America candidates wins the nomination.
