'He is a Trojan horse': Donald Trump rages after getting crushed in Wisconsin
Business Insider ^ | 4/6/16 | Allan Smith

Donald Trump's presidential campaign unleashed a furious statement Tuesday night after Ted Cruz easily defeated him in the Wisconsin primary.

"Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet--- he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr. Trump," the Republican frontrunner's statement declared.

Instead of offering a note of praise like after past losses, Trump's Tuesday-night statement leveled a bevy of attacks against "Lyin' Ted Cruz."

Among other things, the statement accused Cruz of illegally coordinating with super PACs supporting his campaign, though he did not specify any evidence for the claim.

It's obvious that the Wisconsin results should be nullified.

Trump calling Cruz a Trojan Horse is rich. He has many liberal positions and does things like attacking Heidi Cruz’s looks that make sense only if he wants to lose the general election.

Didn’t Cruz enter the campaign first? Can this “Trojan Hosrse” also see into the future and know he would be needed?

Doesn’t Trump also say the Replublicans hate Cruz? They hate him but love him; he can’t work with them but they are working together...

Trump is all over the map.

Its sad so many Wisconsin voters think Cruz will negate the last 8 years of what Obama has done, and Cruz has absolutely zero future predictions, he has never shown an ounce at predicting future events. Many people have that rare gift, Cruz does not. He is just a store mannequin with a voice box and a bible in one hand.

I’m absolutely NOT giving up on Trump, no way no how.

He’s not all over the map, he’s pointing out the obvious, or at least obvious to us. It will become obvious to you to when it’s all over. On top of that they will treble their efforts to defeat him in his re-election bid for the Senate..

Trojan horse as in stealth attack. Trump, warts and all, is what he is.

Cruz isn’t what he advertises himself to be. If he was a strict constitutional conservative, he’d disqualify himself for being foreign born, he wouldn’t vote for Obamatrade and wouldn’t be handing out care packages to illegals, and the GOPe would be attacking him relentlessly instead of helping him stop Trump.

If Ted gets the White House, I’ll be thrilled if he proves me wrong, but I’ll be shocked at the same time.

Read the full statement below:

Donald J. Trump withstood the onslaught of the establishment yet again. Lyin' Ted Cruz had the Governor of Wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts, and the entire party apparatus behind him. Not only was he propelled by the anti-Trump Super PAC's spending countless millions of dollars on false advertising against Mr. Trump, but he was coordinating `with his own Super PAC's (which is illegal) who totally control him. Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet--- he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr. Trump. We have total confidence that Mr. Trump will go on to win in New York, where he holds a substantial lead in all the polls, and beyond. Mr. Trump is the only candidate who can secure the delegates needed to win the Republican nomination and ultimately defeat Hillary Clinton, or whomever is the Democratic nominee, in order to Make America Great Again.

Any candidate, loser or winner, who would not repudiate such a ungracious statement as this, offered without a scrap of evidence, is obviously of such mean character as to be unworthy of the highest office in the world.

We now now see confirmed once again why so many true conservative like Governor Walker warned us against sacrificing the party to Donald Trump's ego.

You obviously have paid no attention to Cruz’s Senate election or his time there if you see obvious cooperation between Cruz and the GOPe.

And you contradict yourself...the same people who are helping win the presidential nomination will help defeat him in his reelection to the Senate?

They will get him nominated so they can cause him to lose the presidency deliberately?

How can Trump supporters fixate on one Cruz vote but ignore decades of Trump liberalism? Why only a litmus test for the other guy and not yours?

“Hey... Who got his ass kicked last night?”

“Trump got his ass kicked last night”

Five minutes later... “Hey... Who got his ass kicked last night?”

“Trump got his ass kicked last night”

Five minutes later... “Hey,... Who got his ass kicked last night?”

“I keep telling you, Trump got his ass kicked last night. Don’t you remember?”

“Yeah... But I just like hearing you say it!”

Contradict myself? Not in the least. You are just blinded by the fact that they are playing him like a fiddle, or more appropriately he is their useful idiot.

He is serving their purpose to keep Trump from obtaining 1,237 delegates pledged to him and thus securing the nomination. Then they will play games to ensure that Ted doesn't get 1,237 delegates supporting him in the 2nd & 3rd rounds so that they can introduce someone new, be it Ryan or Romney.

It’s simple. Trump isn’t bought and paid for. Trump has never voted for anything as a legislator. He’s not a lawyer/politician. He has gotten things done in the private sector. He’s a horse’s ass, but I can live with that.

Cruz has been an inside the Beltway guy a lot longer than his brief Senate stint. Somebody is paying his way. He’s rubbing elbows with Bush cronies and while he talks like an outsider, he’s not getting targeted by the GOP machine. Why not, if he’s so opposed to the “Washington cartel”?

Trump is a jerk. I have a feeling that Cruz is a jerk, too, but he’s more of a glad handler. Besides, Trump is eligible, and Cruz isn’t, or he shouldn’t be, even if the Supremes deem him to be.

Citizen Trump has mouthed off with liberal views in the past, and he’s greased liberal palms. He’s also espoused conservative views as far back as the 80’s...see the Oprah interview.

I think Trump loves the country of his birth and has become focused on how we are going down the tubes, he has taken hold of a few Conservative issues that are important and make sense.

If he builds a wall, halts Muslim immigration and makes the rest of the world pay a fair share, he’s more conservative than any President since Reagan.

Hell, if he does one of the three he’s more conservative than any President since Reagan.

With Cruz we’ll get lots of Conservative talk, a few minor Conservative bones thrown our way, righteous opposition when it won’t count, and folding when the big money chips are called in.

It’s how he’s rolled so far.

Even if Trump is part liberal, it’s better than the all talk, no action GOP crap we’ve been getting.

I'm a Trumpster, but Wisconsin never was Trump's ground

It's a liberal state with Bernie Sanders leaning politics ... even among the republicans

He’ll have a Sarah Palin type slot on FOX and in a year or two become a well paid lobbyist

Trump said Cruz had no friends and was unable to work with anyone. But now he is the lynchpin of a grand conspiracy?
