The networks show percentage breakdown by some categories, based on exit polls, before the polls close. They try to avoid reporting vote totals.

The breakout in the screenshot you posted doesn't tell much about the election result, because it doesn't say how many/what fraction of the voters claimed to be evangelical.

I can't post a screen shot of this, but take a look at this map, which shows "most recent" polls by Congressional District. It shows Trump ahead in virtually all CDs:

There is no foul in greeting voters at the polling place. That is garden variety common by candidates. What they are not allowed to do is ask for the vote, within a certain distance of the polling place.

We are a Representative Republic.

Delegates are appointed to vote for you so that small states have a voice.

Go read the Founding Fathers reasons for this.

Bottom line, if only the one with most votes won, candidates would spend all their time in the megalopolises and ignore flyover country just to get millions and millions of votes.

Don’t bet on that just yet. I have a hunch Milwaukee County will go Trump. He does very well in blue collar open primary urban areas.

I have heard people say he is going to get creamed there, but I wouldn’t bet a wooden nickel just yet. I wouldn’t bet either way to be honest, but I think the projections of him getting slaughtered in Milwaukee county have been a little over exaggerated.

I talked to a guy on the phone yesterday that I had never met. I knew he was Republican, but didn't know anything more than that. I asked him, “Which way are you leaning?”

He said:

“Well, you'll probably call me crazy, and I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I'm for Trump.”

So there you go... People support Trump, but they have been shamed about it.

Voted in Grafton (Ozaukee county, one of the three most conservative counties in the state, and which polls heavily in favor of Cruz over Trump), early in the afternoon. The small parking lot in front of the school where I vote was full, overflowing onto the street.

Inside, there were three people in front of me for my ward, so not much of a line, but this is the first time I recall having to wait. The poll workers said voting, thus far, was heavy, and that they hadn’t been able to take a break.
