During this presidential primary season, many candidates have proclaimed their intent to fix our ailing Department of Veterans Affairs. A good place to start is allowing it to honor and remember our nation’s Prisoners of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA).
Since the Vietnam War, the military has maintained the sacred tradition of setting a separate table in its dining facilities to honor POW/MIAs. The table is decorated with several items, each carrying symbolic meaning used to help remember those who were captured or declared missing. Traditionally, one of those items is a Bible, which according the National League of POW/MIA Families represents “the strength gained through faith to sustain those lost from our country, founded as one nation under God.” But now the POW/MIA remembrance table is a target of heartless anti-religion hysteria.
Michael “Mikey” Weinstein, founder and president of the deceptively-named Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), demanded an Akron, Ohio VA clinic remove the Bible from its POW/MIA remembrance table. This isn’t the first time the MRFF has targeted a symbol of faith for our nation’s POWs and MIAs. In 2014, it attacked remembrance tables in the Air Force and Navy.

It’s time to sue these loons in court that THEY are violating the ESTABLISHMENT CLAUSE by establishing atheism or secularism as the compulsory national religion.It would be fun to see the the ACLU and other communist lawyers contort themselves in knots with legal arguments trying to deny the obvious.
I have never read one account of the Vietnam POWs when God and the bible wasn’t of major importance to them. Somebody tell that jerk.

I’ve corresponded with him in very heated exchanges.
He thinks he’s a tough guy and says if anyone says anything bad about Israel, it’s fighting time, yet he wants to ban the old testament from the military here completely.
He says it’s because of evangelicals who try to force their view.
You can count the complaints on one hand yet he drives a 100k car. Biggest weasel around.

He said his sons were accused of killing Jesus and asked how it felt knowing they were going to hell and there was rampant anti Semitism, which, if true, is terribly wrong.
But I don’t see how removing bibles would stop anti Semitism.
This Weinstein has a lot in common with the ACLU types.....

The best way to handle these idiots is to take these miserable busy bodies out back and slap the living crap out of them.
The ACLU should be deemed a terrorist organization and those involved should be detained in Gitmo until the cessation of their conflicts.
Give everyone a break from their constant nonsense.
