Roger Stone: Donald Trump Will Lose Wisconsin
breitbart.com ^

Veteran political strategist Roger Stone warns GOP frontrunner Donald Trump will lose Wisconsin, but says the question remains whether or not Trump will walk away with any delegates before heading into the final stretch of primaries.

Stone joined Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon on Breitbart News Daily to point out that, even though Trump has been leading the pack for eight months, he has yet to seal up the GOP’s nomination and may only have a mere 100 days to take on the Clinton machine before November’s vote. Why didn’t Trump lock it down two months ago?

Stone says the nomination battle “was never going to end in March” and the Republican establishment “will never roll over.”

“And therefore you’re now shifting to a different phase in the campaign. You’re right. They need to do things differently,” Stone said.

They need to crack down and understand the process and have a strategy in each one of these individual states. They have brought on the best convention manager in the country, my ex-partner Paul Manafort. He’s enormously skilled and talented. They need to let him do what he does and I think they can get to their 1,237 number. And then they can go fight in rules and credentials, where they’re still going to try to steal it from him, in my opinion.
Stone added that while he thinks Trump will lose Wisconsin, he can still win a majority of delegates in the 16 upcoming primaries.

The argument is, will Trump get the nomination if he has only a plurality.

There is no arguing about it. If DONEald shows up with fewer than 1237 they go to 2nd Ballot, which in some farfetched theoretical possibility Trump could win with 1237 on the 2nd ballot.

He still has a path, unlike Cruz. I’m not counting chickens either way.

I’m confused, because you said this:

“On the day Trump is mathematically eliminated from getting to 1237, will we see a post from you demanding that he withdraw?”

let me correct your common core math. Prior to Wis Trump had to get only 9 delegates in Wis to on track to win the nomination. MO came in and gave him 12 delegates. So he could lose completely WIS and it will not hurt him. But real world is Wis is proportional not WTA and Trump has closed the gap in some polls and other have gone silent. Although the usual will come out soon like Fox to try to trick the Ryan nominating crowd.

“their own party’s candidate”

Until he gets to 1237, he isn’t the party’s candidate.

On the one hand Trump supporters say Cruz is the establishment while the other batch of Trump supporters say Cruz is being used by the establishment but will dumped at the convention. Confusing to say the least.

Donald J. Trump has not wrapped up the Republican nomination because about half of the Republicans have an unfavorable opinion of Donald J. Trump. Trump can’t get the bandwagon rolling because nobody who is not already on it wants to jump on it.

Nonsense. In 2012 Romney didn't sew up the nomination until May 29th. Santorum didn't drop out until April 10. Plenty of time for Trump to pick up more support.

He can lose it and then steal Cruz’s delegates. Isn’t that how it works now?

Yep, that's Teddy Bear Ted's playbook. He keeps that book next to his "Candy Wrappers".

I dislike the RNC and GOPe far more than Hillary is disliked.
The efforts to which they are going to derail the front-running candidate is disgraceful.

Quote:

“Here’s the deal.
If Trump gets slightly less than 1237 and Cruz gets say around 1000, Cruz can’t make the argument that he should get the nomination because Trump didn’t get 1237.

This is the RNC’s plan to deny the nomination to both Cruz and Trump and then pick their own favorite...and it won’t be Cruz.

This is from people like Larry Sabato...people who don’t have a dog in this hunt.”

Everyone except the Cruzoids gets that.

Might want to re-reference your claim Wis is proportional.

I don’t know anything about Roger Stone, other than he wrote two books that I have recently read: “War on Women” and “Jeb (!) and the Bush Crime Family”...

I did hear he used to be Trump’s ear, but I don’t think he is anymore...

I just think it’s funny that the only way Cruz can win is to steal delegates from Trump, a Bush and Clinton trick, and they aren’t even hiding it anymore...

But my vote is for Trump, and if others don’t see it that way, their vote, but this Country won’t change for the better if we elect another GOPe RINO base idiot...

Not confusing at all. Cruz is willingly going along with the establishment in order to deny Trump delegates. He'll gladly support the GOPe selection (probably Ryan) and collect a nice comfy lifetime paycheck for falling on his sword for the party.

Get real, did you see the GOP trying to sabotage Bush as everyone has been doing with Trump?

Never remember a candidate this far along soon attacked by their party, and the party is going to die after.

Between the many years of backstabbing voters the GOP backstabs the choice by millions more than anyone else.

Rest In Pieces GOP.

Cruz is even father away from 1237 so he will not be the party's candidate.

You don't even know who Manafort is. You surely cannot predict what is going to happen at this convention.

If Trump doesn't get to 1237, it's anyone's guess what is going to happen.

Even Priebus has no effing idea.
