A fox got my 3 hens last year.
I ordered new chicks last week. delivery date April 27. Can’t wait.
I miss my hens. I kept them in the pantry at night and they would always greet me when I went into the kitchen for a midnight snack. On Christmas eve, I would allow them to walk through the house. For Easter I colored their eggs and gave it to them. They were no happy. They liked their eggs plain. LOL.

:-) We would like more, but with 2 horses, 3 dogs, 1 rabbit, hundreds of Koi and goldfish we are downsizing.

I miss the fresh brown eggs.

Too funny! Speaking of chickens (don’t tell yours what I’m going to tell you) I just put a casserole together.

Bottom layer- kale
Next layer- asparagus spears
Top layer- boneless chicken thighs and potatoes cut up in eighths
Gravy like topping of 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of cream of celery soup, 1 cup of milk, 1 lb of ground turkey, and 1 lb of ground pork, all mixed together in a blender, then poured all over the contents of the casserole dish. I had enough to make two large casserole dishes.

I predict one tasty dish is about to get gobbled up.
