“Donald Trump will never get enough delegates to stop a brokered (read that contested) convention.”

Don’t agree.

Democrats are like the members of an abused family. They NEVER discuss the family “secrets” except quietly amongst themselves. Everybody knows Hillary is a felon and totally unsuited for the presidency. Shhhhhhh!

We The People don’t actually have a role in this election stuff. The Big Boys will figure it all out and let us know.

Meanwhile, on the Republican side, it’s slightly more subtle. While Trump can “win” delegates, the Party Bosses are the ones who actually select the delegates in most states, and will select delegates who are hostile to the man they are officially “bound” to (but just on the first ballot).

Why is the press not talking about the rigged GOP caucus in Utah...complete with vote fraud? Why don't they tell the truth about these closed-caucus events where Cruz and GOPe agents determine who wins, and not the voters?

Not so in the “Democratic” Party, where the will of people does not matter

Political parties are not representative institutions.

What Bruce Bialosky is forgetting is, the “fracture” in the Democrat party is like a scratch when compared to the fracture in the Republican party.
The Democrat’s scratch will heal within minutes of Hillary being crowned the Democrat nominee. But that fracture in the Republican party is deep and wide and has been growing for a generation or longer.

I agree, but that’s the ‘meme’ now for Cruz. It is a dedicated PR campaign that is being run by PR professionals who follow the accepted rules.

When you have a sex scandal for your candidate (to which there is likely a ‘there’ there) the first thing is to get behind a skirt (iCarly). The second priority is to create another accepted ‘truth’ that loyal supporters and media hating Trump can latch onto, that being news about Cruz Team’s expert behind-the-scenes in delegate stealing being the inevitable catastrophic loss for Trump.

Third, latch onto something stupid Trump said, like getting drawn into a Town Hall hit job and being asked about impossible hypothetical scenarios that can be “squirreled.”

Lastly, sum up the equation in an approximate formula that says “he just CAN’T get enough delegates now” and treat it like a closed form theorem.

My thoughts are that we have a candidate that is likely caught in some other women’s knickers and the first time he’s asked to unequivocally state for the record he never cheated, he had to hide behind iCarly’s skirt and let her divert and obfuscate for him.

By Democrats, do you mean to include include about 90% of today’s media in that list??

Sure we do, but political parties are not representative institutions.

"No taxation without representation"

The government is controlled by two political parties (one, if you count them carefully). As someone once said, political parties are not representative institutions. I know I'm taxed. I'm pretty sure that I have no representation. At all. Not from the Dems, not from the GOP, not from the "tea party". None of them care what I think. Political parties are not representative institutions.

I think I know how this game eventually ends.

You missed the point completely. The big story here (and topic of the thread) is the Democrat primary. Bernie gets very little respect and press, but he’s backed by significant numbers of Democrats. The Democrat elites will take the election from Bernie no matter what. Did you know he’s actually won the popular vote in some states only to get fewer delegates due to super delegates, aka party insiders beholden to the Clinton political machine? That’s the big story! The so called Democrat Party of the little people, is ruled lock, stock and barrel by insiders!

Exactly; the enemedia doesn’t talk about this for the same reason they never criticized Sultan Obama: They work for the same people. Hillary and the “media” have the same employer.

“But the fix isn’t in for the republicans like it is for the democrats”.
I don’t know about that. I think the fix is in on both sides.

The rigged democratic presidential nomination in which party?

They both have a rigged democratic presidential nomination and the press is complicit.

Trump has thrown a wrench into the works and they are doing everything they can to take him down.

What we don’t know is how many of the party bosses might change their allegiance to Sanders and tip the nomination his way.

We do know. The answer is none.

The bosses remember Mondale and Dukakis, who were greatly loved by the Dem base and went on to crushing defeats in the general election. They also know the same fate would await Sanders were he the nominee. All they want is to win, and if Queen Athaliah keeps the White House in Democrat hands, nothing else matters.

Why are we reading Bialosky if he’s too stupid to know the answer to this?
