Israel Defends Use of Force in Interrogation

GENEVA, May 7— Appearing before a skeptical panel of United Nations experts, Israeli officials today strenuously defended their nation's use of physical coercion in questioning detainees who might have information about terrorism.
The hearing was by turns emotional and highly technical, and the Israeli officials for the first time provided a specific example in which they said a bombing had been averted with intelligence obtained through what Israel calls ''moderate physical pressure.''

I trust what the Israelis do - because for them it is life or death - if it does not work they would not use it.
I hope they’re not waterboarding because the GOP will turn against them.
If waterboarding is out, I suppose the fall back method is fingernail and tooth removal.
Shai Nitzan, Senior Deputy to Israel’s State Attorney, responded that many detainees lied in order to ‘’excuse their telling.’’ Mr. Kafishah, he said, had been the leader of a five-person terrorist group that blew up a Tel Aviv cafe on March 22, killing three women and wounding 50 other people. Mr. Nitzan said that as a result of grilling Mr. Kafishah, Israeli officials were able to find a second bomb before it could be planted and wound or kill others.
‘’This is a case of necessity in our eyes,’’ Mr. Nitzan said. ‘’We thought it essential to reveal the bomb’s location. I don’t know how many people would have been killed otherwise.’’
This creep needs to be interrogated with a big lighter on his junk.

That poor lamb. So shut off the air conditioner and see how he likes that. And I don't have any sympathy for his complaint about being threatened with the arrests of his family members. He didn't care anything about the family members of the people he murdered, after all. He doesn't deserve any consideration at all.
He should be happy he was just a "palestinian" who was captured by the Israelis. If he'd been an ISIS member captured by the Russians, his family would already be dead and he'd be begging them to let him confess...
