In case anyone is unaware: All this talk about "1237 delegates means Trump is the nominee" is BUNK.
That so-called "rule" is a temporary rule that can be changed at the convention. Therefore, Trump is not guaranteed the nomination even if he gets 1237, or 1400, or even 2000 delegates.
They can change the rule to suit their #NeverTrump plan, and make the requirement 1 delegate more than however many Trump has.
On the O'Reilly Factor tonight, Eric Bolling confirmed this. There are 42 convention rules in the rule book. Rules #26 through #42 are Temporary Rules that are written and voted on at the convention. The rule about 1237 delegates falls under Rule 40 D & E. That means they can change the requirement to 2000 delegates if they want to.
Make no mistake: They plan to steal the election from Trump and put in their own people: Ryan, Romney, Rubio, Bush, etc. For those of you who support Cruz or Kasich, please wake up. It won't be Cruz, and it won't be Kasich.

The 1237 Rule Can (and will) Be Changed At The Convention

Whining about getting robbed isn’t what we need in our candidate... we have plenty of experience with McCain and Romney for that... don’t need a third round of that.
At this point, Trump and his supporters have flung enough monkey poo, that I just want to see him lose... You should be able to relate, that kind of attitude is what I’ve seen towards Cruz for months now.
If Trump gets 1237 or more, I’ll vote for him, but nothing more. If he doesn’t, I want someone else. Get used to hearing that... start to fear that... because if Trump doesn’t get the 1237 then that is the attitude that will cost him the nomination... thanks to jerk comments like yours (and his) angering potential voters rather than trying to get their buy in.
“Personally, I will not vote for anyone who has endorsed or in the future endorses any Republican except for Trump.”
I’m a conservative, not a republican and certainly not a trumpster. Attitudes like that have backlash... I’m far less likely to vote for anyone who endorsed Trump. His brand of personal destruction politics has damaged the unity of conservatives and is likely to hurt our cause for many elections to come.
If Cruz gets the nomination, he’ll be giving the election to the Democrats. I like Cruz, but I think Trump has the best chance of winning.
If the nation doesn't get some leadership that shakes things up, the US is goin' down anyway. Why would I vote for the scum who now tell me that life-long Republicans shouldn't get to choose the party's nominee?
Almost every hellhole in the world is run by elites - elites who rig the votes in their favor but attempt to make it look like they're the choice of the people...(remember Saddam with his 98% 'votes' from 'the people'...?)
Justifications are the same ... elite thugs give to the criminal class that props them up... thereby giving themselves the excuse they're doing good while in fact they're only feathering their own nests... and that of their fellow elites.
Sound familiar?
The great experiment we're a part of - the American Experiment - has to do with trusting the people... trusting the people to pick their own leaders. The goons at the RNC and DNC are taking that power for themselves... stealing it from the people. Democrats and Republican totalitarians have decided 'the people' can't be trusted. Just like elite goons in every other hellhole since the dawn of time - they've made the decision in favor of themselves...
Our RNC and DNC are working to reduced our country to hellhole status. If they steal this election from Trump or even from Sanders, they'll be emboldened to do the same from here on out...
Stop the thugs - vote Trump.
And you would be fine if the rules were changed to favor your candidate????Jeez
Yep, just as I have posted recently. We really are a banana republic.
The founders, at least a good number of them, knew that universal suffrage is an unstable system, doomed to eventual failure. The so-called "free" elections in the US are only marginally better than the so-called "free" elections in other third-world hellholes. The elites peddle the line that elections mean freedom of choice, all the while restricting the choices. This sham has been going on at multiple levels for decades, probably close to 100 years.
I remember reading a snippet in "The People's Almanac" in the early 1970's that differentiated between the political (actor) class, and "Who really rules" each of the countries in the world. The US was described as being "really ruled" by multinational corporations who used US political power to advance financial interests. Crony capitalism, in a nutshell.
Who Rules - A President (usually elected), a 2-house legislature (Senate and House of Representatives), and a 9-man Supreme Court, appointed by the President with the approval of the Senate. There are also State, county, and city governments, but most of their laws can voided by the Federal Government.Who REALLY Rules - There are many forces at work in U.S. Society, but the most powerful by far are the interlocking directorates of the major banks, corporations, and insurance companies, with the backing of the military; in the words of former President Dwight Eisenhower, "the military-industrial complex."
No. In fact that was my point. Rules should not be changed to favor a candidate. Otherwise it is hypocrisy, right?
so they can also change the rule to 1200, or 1100. To avoid a contested convention, if they actually wanted party unity and cared about their voters.
IF
If Trump doesn’t get 1237, then we didn’t chose him... If he can’t get a majority and didn’t have the planning to cut a deal in time to get it... He didn’t win.
I suppose it’s “their” party and they can do whatever they want.
It ain’t my party.
I am slowly going into “not paying any attention and waiting for the collapse/balkanizing tribal wars to start mode”. Where I was before Trump and where I will remain until said happens or Pinochet shows up.
Who do you see as a “conservative” in the republican party?
Don't let them steal this. visit stopthesteal.org Trump friend Roger Stone has given this site address for anyone wanting to see pure,fraud-free elections in our primary system. We must attempt to keep free elections free.
wewillwalk.org
Wewillwalk. On facebook
Any shenanigans will cause me to do a write in or stay home.
That is up to the RNC.
I will not vote for an installed candidate.
We already had the worst, Obama. I refuse to play GOP games.
Just keeping it real. The Republican Party will not survive stealing the nomination, and we're not letting the elite define "steal". You're chasing away your most loyal members, and not creating a situation where you'll inspire others to join.
I don't think I'm alone in this thinking. If the nomination is stolen from Trump, and I mean stolen in the sense of it not being fair play, I'll be voting third party. No point in an uncertified write in which won't be counted or leaving it blank and letting mischief makers co-opt it. I hope if both nominations are stolen by the rigged process that there's a third party candidate on all state ballots and they don't run a vanity candidate, rather get smart and run a nice unity ticket. If that happens "mad as *ell" voters will take a plurality in a lot of states. A liberal or a conservative? Who cares? It'll be the end of BOTH political parties!
Well stated. Count me in.
Go Trump
Hi Jane, I posted this on our thread but in case you didn’t see, here ate two interesting sites to look over: wewillwalk.org and the facebook wewillwalk. I joined the facebook group.
