Amanda Carpenter, a top aide to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), is leaving his office to return to conservative commentary under her own name. Carpenter announced the move Tuesday in a message to colleagues that was first reported by Roll Call. She will leave Cruz's office on July 5.
Looking back, Im especially grateful for the opportunity to create #MakeDCListen, help with Sen. Cruzs Gridiron speech, and contribute to his flawless presidential launch as well as countless other memorable tweets, jokes, lines, talkers, statements, op-eds, and other items. Weve been in high gear since Day 1 and Im very proud of what weve done together, Carpenter wrote........... Carpenter joined Cruz's office as a speechwriter and senior communications adviser in early 2013, before being promoted to communications director in the fall.

how the hell is a tweet by NepotismIsDomesticTerrorism considered news?
Tweets by anonymous twits are now your ‘evidence’ after the National Requirer didn’t come through with all you folk’s proclaimed ‘devastating evidence’ that you assured us was coming out ‘On Monday” (last monday) and then again ‘Well, ok, maybe not monday, but definitely on Thursday’?
Twit Tweets now qualify as news?
I was wondering the same thing.
This article is from last June.
What’s its relevance?
In the immediate term only. In the medium and long term, it is a dead hand on his own credibilty and trustworthiness that will last for the rest of his life and be mentioned on his wikipedia page (should the republic survive) after he is long gone.
Excellent questions. All of them.
That’s her husband’s name and probably her legal name.
“YOURE GETTING PRETTY DESPERATE POSTING A 10-MONTH OLD ARTICLE.”

A ‘lil sunshine is good for the soul.
I may post the August and December stuff too.
Breitbart had the story ready to go on 2 Feb and someone spiked it (at least 2 reporters knew - info is out there)
They might have gotten it from Rubio’s people but the investigators who put it together got tired of waiting and someone leaked or sold it to the NE
In fact how many people in the DC scuttle knew there were “rumors” about Teduardo? Amanda was sure sending out a lot of suggestive tweets and not just to Teduardo
(Breitbart the alleged “pro Trump” media it now turns out is owned by a CRUZ donor- ties to the Michelle Fields attempted takedown)
They pushed it for months but coudl not get any reputable news source or blog to run with it because it was nothing but rumor- Then two of donald’s buddies pecker, and hte other fella, ran the story - the NE- came out endorsing Donald Trump for president- something they have never done before- Rubio is out of the picture, Donald isn’t- and it’s donald’s buddies involved with the NE which supports him
Since everyone likes to extrapolate from rumors and/or flimsy evidence, then at least make sure this possibility is considered as well
another Bimbo cleanup operation ...so the timing suggests
Just saying there is a good reason that Cruz blames Trump. If the balme is truthful, all the better, but there is no political harm if the blame is false witness.
I suspect this originated directly from Cruz’s own office or someone real close by.
BTW, there is a minor hit piece on Rubio that never “blossomed.”
LOL!
Folks wanted proof, they are going to be getting proof
The pajamahadeen and other internet warriors for the truth - doing the investigating American journalism won’t do
Apples and oranges. You’re comparing the salary to salaries for Senate staffers, when she was on the staff of a Presidential candidate.
Thanks for posting.
More light coming in future too
Was just over on another site

The first comment written June 9, 2015 mentions several possible reasons for Carpenter's departure, including this one on June 9, 2015
Obviously, these rumors, whether substantiated or not, have been circulating DC long before Donald Trump became Cruz's main rival.
It is outrageous for the Cruz campaign to be blame anyone other than his own staff or their circle of people in DC. - Placing the blame on Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, or any other candidate has been an opportunistic classless way for Senator Cruz to deal with his own problem.
With the release of the story of Cruz's alleged mistresses in the Enquirer, Cruz asserts that it is his opponent's fault. Cruz states the reason the National Enquirer published the scandal was to please Donald Trump. Rather than a clear unequivocal denial of those accusations about his actions, Cruz parses his words and again props up his wife Heidi and then Carly as an emotional defense against Trump.
While, Cruz's accusation is patently false, it is still effective. Outside Washington and the political gossip circles, people have no clue as to where the scandal originated or if it's factual. Cruz has sold people another pack of his lies. The idea that Trump can create a scandal story where none once existed and then force its publication. This is absurd and inconsistent with Trump's style.
Cruz insinuates that the scandal about himself is actually what Trump was referring to when he mentioned "spilling the beans on Heidi." Yet, Heidi is not the alleged adulterer dragged through the dirt of the National Enquirer. - Ted Cruz has known for nearly a year that his entanglement scandal would arise, sooner or later. He is a needs to face his accusers, as a man, and not hide behind his women's skirts.
The real shame is not being an honest man and falsely placing blame.
The sex story has been there a very long time.
