UPDATE (WKOW) -— Peoria County Sheriff’s officials say the explosives found in checked luggage at The Peoria International Airport Thursday were found to be a demonstration bomb.
Police at a press conference said the woman is a trainer who travels to abortion clinics with the demonstration bomb to teach them what bombs look like.
Officials say no charges have been brought against the woman at this time.
We will continue to update this story as we learn more.
Demonstration bomb? WTF?
Thanks for posting.
Plus, a timer attached to a bunch of simulated dynamite is probably not an example that would have required much "training" anyway.
Doesn’t she carry some kind of identification and reason & explanation of the device? Why is it necessary to have liquid in the jars? Can’t she just fill them with water when she gets where she’s going? For that matter, why can’t she assemble the thing when she gets where she’s going so she doesn’t shut down an airport?

Must have been a good model. Stupid freaks. Hope they get the bill for this idiocy.
How convenient. Abortion clinics. Yesterday's Chrissy Matthew's ambush against Donald Trump on abortion timing was just perfect wasn't it. War on women and all that .....
Can't be a coincidence now can it? (/sarcasm)
A “demonstration bomb”???
You never heard of photographs?
You would think this would be the type of thing you would clear ahead of time to...
I hear Obama invited her to the white house
HUH???
Man does this sound fishy. Wouldn’t this demonstrator travel with several different kinds, or is there a preferred device for abortion clinics. Seems like this sort of training would involve some kind of Powerpoint.
Shaking head. A training bomb to protect the murder of unborn babies???????
Score two for the left.
Sounds ludicrous.

Smells like...
I used to support DoD’s counter IED effort, I frequently handled explosives and frequently had strange things in my carry on. The explosive sniffers usually alerted which would wake up the TSA Agents. I carried a letter, phone numbers and credentials for these occasions. Usually a phone call or email got it sorted out, it was never really a problem.
