Pollster and political strategist Pat Caddell, a mainstay of the Political Insiders roundtable on Fox Report Sunday, joined SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon on Thursdays edition of Breitbart News Daily to talk about the state of the Republican primary race and the hopes of the GOP establishment for an eventual nominee other than the current candidates running in Wisconsin.

Pat is wrong again.
Motives do NOT dictate results.
If someone other than Trump or Cruz is put forth at the convention we will see the roof come off of the place.
The speculators suggesting the Delegates are open to taking instruction from ANYBODY are ill-informed and only promoting sensational theories to maintain some level of significance.

Corrected.> If someone other than the TRUMP(because he will have the most delegates by a long shot) is put forth at the convention we will see the roof come off of the place. And of course guaranteed Hillary win.
Caddell is a Humphrey Democratic and although I don’t agree with his position on many issues-when it comes to polling and political insights he is one of the best. He said of the Romney presidential campaign in 2012-it was the worst campaign for president he had ever seen. Many of us on FR would agree!
The GOPe is using Cruz as their Trump slayer. Then when he gets to the convention by negating Trump, the GOPe will take issue with his citizenship liability and bail on Cruz.
That leaves the door open for the GOPe to re-introduce their selected candidate after they nullify rule 40.
It sure looks like it is headed that way. Kasich is an absolute a$$hole enabling this scenario too. He is probably shopping for secretery of interior or something equally stellar to match his abilities.
The whole circus is total entertainment for the dims.
...So the GOPe has clearly decided they would rather have Hillary than Cruz or Trump.
.
.
.
.
They decided that before the primary even started.
Google, Washington Post, Fox News and USA Today all say Trump has 736 and Cruz has 463.

NYT says that Trump has 735 and Cruz has 461.

Anyone got website with a definitive count (and not just a count that you like better)?
“Im voting for Trump even if I have to write in his name.”
Same here.
“If Trump gets the 1237 required”
They have Kasich back in the running to try to keep Trump from getting those votes.
I have always believed that the Establishment, if they threw in with Cruz, would be trying to use him to stop someone who was not an establishment guy. Where I disagree with many Trump supporters, is that Cruz is not in league with them. Also Caddell doesn’t account for Cruz actively seeking the nomination, it might be out of the establishments hands.
“If someone other than Trump or Cruz is put forth at the convention we will see the roof come off of the place.”
That’s what Pat said.
You are right. But it is not Trump's candidacy that is making it this way -- it is the conspiracy to stop him (by leftist organizers, the RNC, Cruz, Kasich, Beck, Levin, the lamestreams -- a strange brew of bedfellows indeed). I have never seen so many conspiring, not to elect someone, but to stop someone who has generated more positive energy and enthusiasm, on our side, in my 70 years. I hate conspiracy.
The Establishment doesn’t care, they have written off 2016 and are willing to lose the WH to Hillary.
Exactly!
I hope that's the case, but if a large number of delegates are faux Trump and/or Cruz supporters (GOPe plants), then who knows how it might go.
Oh, I see, you get to call the game in the 5th inning because you’re afraid of the next batter up?
WRONG!
The RULES require a MAJORITY, which is 1237.
So, when Cruz reaches 1237 on the second ballot, Cruz will be the nominee.
And, the 60% majority who support Cruz will keep the 40% under control.
Did I mention that Hillary beats Trump by 11% in the latest polls, while Cruz beats her by 3%?
I believe the current standard is not just winning states, but getting the majority of delegates in that state.
As of now, I think only Trump has 8 states that meet that standard. Quite possible Cruz gets there before the end.
No way does Kasich get even close.

Good try Lar, but u are RIDICULOUSLY MISTAKEN.
Yes it’s true u GoPe types can use GoPe rules to circumvent the will of the people, and elect Hillary. But you already know this.
The reality is those initial delegates represent millions of people voting for their candidate of choice and unless you’re some GoPe troll or a Cruz operative, understand replacing the peoples choice at the convention, the one with millions of more voters is political suicide, most likely for Cruz and the GoPe, unless Cruz of course closes on Trump over the next 2 months.
And this.
Trump vs Cruz head-to-head actual primary election results for the 3 purple states which are must wins, real votes not opinion polls.
|Trump v Cruz - Trump v Cruz Margin -|
Ohio ............. 700,464 - 259,694 ...... 35.87% - 13.30% ..... +440,770 Trump
Florida ........ 1,079,741 - 404,804 ..... 45.72% - 17.14% ..... +647,937 Trump
Virginia ......... 355,961 - 173,191 ..... 34.73% - 16.90% ...... +182720 Trump
The facts say, Cruz cant win FL,OH, or VA. He has to win all of them; therefore a vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary.
Fantasy polls of potential future match ups or likability are always used as election propaganda and never reflect reality when just 2 candidates face each other.
Dont be a GoPe useful idiot, vote Trump.
Useful idiot defined= A well intentioned individual who cares for their country but who whether by lack of factual info, preconceived bias, pride, or, not keeping an eye on the goal(keeping Hillary out)and beating the GoPe, votes to harm themselves and the rest of us while thinking their doing the lords work.
Don’t be a useful idiot Lar.
Do try to think for me, as you’re incapable.
Kasich serves only as a nuisance.
Cruz will win on the second ballot.
