It’s a pointless question because the party would be in tatters but, if I was seeking a compromise candidate that might keep both the Trump and Cruz supporters from revolting, I’d look at Jeff Sessions or Col. Allen West.

Trump gets the 1237, unless he self-implodes. And if he doesn’t implode and gets the 1237 but the RNC changes the rules to omit him, then we’ll have a summer of ‘68 all over again. The difference will be that with the Internet, I fear that every unstable person on the planet will know where to find the Elitist Ruling Class should CW2 break out. My worst scenario would be that people and their families (on both sides) would just start disappearing.
Then when Hillary won and came for the 2nd Amendment lovers, multiple the above x 100. They really just don’t understand how many people have reached their “line in the sand” moment.

I just think that if Trump does not have the majority of delegates at the convention, the nominee is not going to be Trump or Cruz. It is going to be someone else. And people better be prepared to fight for a conservative to be that someone else and not Jeb or any other GOPe shill.
If Trump is nominated, Hillary Clinton gets at least 350 electoral votes, winning with ease.
