Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has been arrested and charged with simple battery after surveillance video showed him grabbing journalist Michelle Fields at a campaign event in Florida, police say. More at bnonews.com and on Twitter @bnonews

I did not see the frames where Trump was withdrawing his arm away from her after she grabbed him. I don’t know if it could be considered a grab (she touched him for sure) but I am only going along with her logic.
I’ve seen all of these videos. Still don’t see it. To me, it looks like a bunch of people standing in line at Walmart.
Of course it’s not allowed. Grab her, get her the heck out of there, then deny you had any contact with her/never touched her! Then, if/when that strategy backfires, go with, “Well, she attacked first!”
Who would have a problem with any of this except maybe the BLM/Occupy Wall Street/anarchist-types.
Jupiter police release video showing Corey Lewandowski grab Michelle Fields and SAVE HER FROM A BEATDOWN BY SECRET SERVICE while She was Attempting to Verbally Assault a Presidential Candidate under SS Protection.
I call it the abuse of the power of suggestion.
Good Lord, you people need to stop with this Corey lied stuff...
This about it in context, which 140 characters on Twitter does not allow.
After the event, someone tells you that a female reporter is accusing you of throwing her to the ground. Corey recalls the event and knows he did know such thing. He reacts strongly and quickly, I don’t know her, I didn’t even “touch” her.
He “touches” many people a night at these events, brushing by them, as he did in this case.
Terris is the real dirtbag here, he choreographed the entire charade. You can hear them laughing about it on the audio.
You sleep good at that Holiday Inn Express last night? :)
Wrong. He first reaches for her upper arm. Fails to grasp it, then rips her back three feet by her forearm.
“Actually, the key to simple battery is touching someone against their will.”
She touched Trump, Trump withdrew from her, which showed it was against his will, so she is guilty of assault also.
Forgetting, for the moment, she breached security protocol, and no one had any idea what was in her mind.
LOL! How's this? Lewandowski has managed to hide his swollen, bloody fists and chipped teeth from the public. He should be flogged! :)
You are incorrect. Under Florida law (and the common law as codified in most states), simple battery requires an intentional touching without consent. An intent to cause harm is not an element of simple battery. With that said, I can't imagine any prosecutor pursing this case based upon what I saw (and didn't see) in the video. Even if CL intentionally touched her, I would argue that she gave her implied consent by venturing into the personal space of a presidential candidate at a crowded campaign event.
DISCLAIMER: Cruz is my first choice.
Ok, so instead of telling the SS agent who was between himself and Fields, he just decided to take matters into his own hands?
There is grabbing, and then there is GRABBING.
The arm is not the most sensitive part of the human anatomy, by any means.
The lady parts were never in danger.
So what was the complaint, anyway?
So what if he did? The “seriousness of the charge” aspect is complete BS. Common sense should tell anyone with half a brain that next to nothing happened and that’s all that happened.
“Battery is both a tort and a crime. Its essential element, harmful or offensive contact, is the same in both areas of the law. The main distinction between the two categories lies in the penalty imposed. A defendant sued for a tort is civilly liable to the plaintiff for damages. The punishment for criminal battery is a fine, imprisonment, or both. Usually battery is prosecuted as a crime only in cases involving serious harm to the victim.”
If anything, should be a civil case.
Corey L?
You left out the part where he flogged her with the cat-o-nine tails.
