Sources close to the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton's email are knocking down suggestions that 147 federal agents are working on the case, a figure first reported and now revised by the Washington Post, citing a lawmaker.
The Post updated the figure on Tuesday, stating that while the "FBI will not provide an exact figure," there are "fewer than 50" FBI personnel involved in the case.
But a former federal law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the Clinton investigation tells MSNBC an estimate anywhere near 50 agents is also off base.

I thought the number was 147.
So much for St. James Comey!
But they gave manpower figures in exacting detail during Watergate.
Funny they let the extremely high figure out there for a (seemingly) long time.
Depends on the definition of ‘working’.
Like the missing FBI files, Foster’s “suicide”,
Brown’s murder, Benghazi, Fast&Furious,
nothing ever, ever happens
except protecting the governmental criminals.
She should already be in jail. If you or I had done 1/10th of what she has done in the email issue alone, we would already be in prison.

If he is NOT with the FBI he has NO CLUE how many are involved. The fact it’s an MSNBC story automatically makes it suspect. The dems are in a full blown panic over this and the other FBI investigation of her Foundation and this is an attempt to make them feel better.
The truth is, it has probably been assigned to Fox Mulder down there in the sub-basement, along with the latest UFO sighting in Montana and a mysterious ManBearPig character prowling the hills of Tennessee.
I wouldn’t be surprised if both figures are correct.
They have 12 agents primarily assigned. Another 132 have put in minor amounts of time.
The other 135 are working on the Clinton Foundation investigation.
The Senator from SC will get to the bottom of the Benghazi fiasco any day now.
Cats covering crap.
Shoot I get stopped anytime I am 5 mph over the limit and this troll participates in murdering people and gets to run for president.
147 in total, 12 assigned full time. Take for instance the tech team that was working on recovering information from the server. Their task is now finished and are no longer on the case.
Snicker ...... (and probably true) :-)
Semantics.
There very well may be less than 50 FBI agents working on Hillary's e mail server investigation. There is no mention of how many NSA or CIA agents may also be working on the investigation
There are also at least two parallel FBI investigations in place. The one most publicized is the email server investigation, but the real action would be the investigation the media is avoiding reporting on like its the bubonic plague .
That investigation revolves around Hill and Bill soliciting bribes, quid pro quo deals and pay for play cash contributions to the Clinton Foundation in return for political favors and access to secret government information obtained through Hillary's position in the Senate and as Secretary of State
This is where the real investigative heavy lifting would occur.
There are also undoubtedly parallel investigations into members of Hillary's inner circle and possibly into Hillary herself
This could be bad news for Team Clinton because they may be hit with more than a dozen different indictments that really lay out the case to the public and make it really hard for Atty Gen Lynch to sabotage the investigations
Hillary and Soros have enough money to buy some good stories from the press.
Do you see any Democrat Party leaders sticking up for her?
They’re scared to death of what she’s done.
Hillary Clinton is destroying the Democrat Party.
