As many as 7,500 Americans -- 20 per day -- are killed annually by unlicensed drivers, and Rosenberg calculates that more than half are the victims of illegal immigrants.
Now, by testifying before lawmakers, speaking to parents who have been through the same ordeal and posting his research on his nonprofit’s website, unlicensedtodrive.org, Rosenberg is shedding light on a frightening number not readily available from government sources.
“I was stunned at what I found,” said Rosenberg, who at 63 is semi-retired from the entertainment and publishing industry. “Not only were unlicensed drivers killing people in numbers only exceeded by drunk drivers, but many times they were barely being punished and many times faced no charges at all.”
Galo, a Honduran, who entered the country illegally but earned temporary protective status, had been cited five months earlier for driving without a license or insurance and heading the wrong way on a one-way street in San Francisco. His car was impounded for a day, he paid a fine for the moving violation and the other charges were dropped.
After he was convicted of manslaughter, Galo served six weeks in jail and was released. He was deported in 2013 after a years-long legal battle.
Because state and federal highway safety officials do not classify deaths by the perpetrator’s immigration stats, tabulating the deadly toll of unlicensed, illegal immigrant drivers has been a painstaking effort. Rosenberg has pored through spreadsheets and studies, piecing together numbers that show his son’s death was neither necessary nor unique. Still, his estimate is just that, and it varies from the guesses of other groups.

Quite unbelievable or not. I recall in Texas the death tally on average is around 50 a month killed in some way related to illegals form south of the border.
Glad to see this, because nobody in govt or MSM is gonna do it.
Obama is saddened somebody would keep count of the killed victims of illegals.

I got hit by a car that was hit by two illegals driving without licenses. They ran a red light going about 40 mph. They hit a Volvo in the right side and then the Volvo hit me doing about $4,000 worth of damage to my van.
The Volvo they hit had a baby strapped just inside the door that was hit. The baby should have died due to the impact and the fact that the car was scooted enough to do some major damage to my car.
The baby was all right I think because of the Volvo’s construction.
The two illegals could not speak English so we had to wait for them to bring a Spanish speaking officer to the scene.
I think they should teach people in Mexico that stop signs mean stop.
In many of these cases the offenders have gotten off easy. I never could understand the love and adoration of illegal aliens.
A few years ago, my cousin & her husband were killed when
a drunk illegal crashed into them as he ran a stop light.
- Both were hardworking, church-going American citizens
with small children. :o(

In my humble opinion, this is a question every LEO, Federal Agent, Congress Critter, Presidential appointee, etc. should be required to answer, prior to being sworn in.
Trump is the only one determined to fix this.

This “threat” is far worse than the threat of terrorism, in terms of number of Americans killed.
But this is not as sensational as terrorism... this is the trickle-by-trickle killing of Americans.

That doesn’t include the number of Americans killed by illegals in other ways (murders, negligent homicides, etc.). They don’t track that statistic.
