When you watch the video at normal speed and not in slow motion, he clearly pulls her backwards. You can see him reach in and her body abruptly changes direction. And that my good fellows, is assault. You don’t have the right to grab someone’s arm and pull them in the direction you want them to go. Of course, when the boss is telling the crowd to punch protestors in the nose, what do you expect.

Consult the statements from the Secret Service agents before you start spewing the MSM-Cruzaganda.

He's not charged with assault - but don't let the facts get in the way of your hatred for Trump

You don’t have the right to practice law without a license and talk through your ass either.

Because first off it’s not assault and wasn’t charged.

Second, every touching in every situation isn’t a battery for too many reasons to explain to you.

Only counter argument I see is whether she and the rest of the media were told Trump is not answering questions. No other media is anywhere close, except for a couple photographers. If he touched trump and wouldn’t respond to requests to back off, they would be an excuse why it happened. I don’t see a whole lot of tension in the situation on anyone’s part to demonstrate that was happening. Nor do I see Fields react as if she was just violently jerked away or bruised.

And if she had shot Trump while standing between the SS and their protectee you would be saying EXACTLY the same thing. Pathetic.

Totally wrong...Watch the video...She does NOT move backwards when he held her arm...Everyone else is moving forward...Look at the guy near the wall behind her...She stays even with him while everyone else is going forward...

The only time it appers she goes backward is when the camera moves forward...

Try again...That one failed....

I’ve had it with posts like yours and others!

I’m sure you already know this, but you don’t care!

Trump had just spent 45 minutes engaging with the folks there AND reporters.
Reporters got to ask their questions!
Widdle Michelle didn’t get called on

So, pushy reporter she is....she brazenly goes up to Trump, has a pen in her hand and touches him......ALL 3 THINGS SECRET SERVICE does not want anyone to do....
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY THREATS HE GETS DAILY!
....( of course you do!)
He tried to shrug her off.
Corey saw this and simply put himself between her and Trump.

I am screaming tired of the lies & innuendo you Cruz people keep posting!!!!!!!!!!!

Not just assault -- armed assault. He grabbed her arm.

He yanks her so hard her hair goes flying. I know Trump loyalists believe that the aura of can-do-no-wrong emanating from the Master is sufficient to cover his minions, but sorry to say, it’s a delusion.

Lewandowski is going down, open and shut. There is a battery here, no doubt. Also, in most jurisdictions a battery by definition includes an element of assault if the touching is intentional as in this case.

The force applied in this case was sufficient to have thrown the reporter to the ground if she had been ever so slightly less nimble. She is clearly thrown off balance.

Of course to the true believers, this situation creates an incredible reality denial field. An explanation must be found, and of course, it is a SET UP! Yep, that’s the ticket!

If it weren’t so pathetic, it would be laughable.

Wake up dudes, your Emperor has no clothes!

Think I’ll go with what Judge Napolitano said.... that this is not a criminal case. At best, she could try to sue Lewandowski in a civil case.

He was not charged with assault and it is not an assault even of he was charged with it.

“You don’t have the right to grab someone’s arm and pull them in the direction you want them to go.”

Yes, security details do have the right to do so and they do it all the time, at just about every rally of every candidate.

So when the protester broke through the SS line and tried to climb on stage no one had the right to grab him and pull him away from Trump?

Has your hate really blinded you that much?

Are you kidding me? What is wrong with you? If that is an assault every fan that ever walked though a crowd to get a hot dog would be in jail.

Lame.

The correct charge is battery, not assault. If you think that is true why don't you go ahead and contact the local PD where Huma pushed a Hillary supporter. Maybe everyone will start calling for her to resign, or hold it up as evidence of Hillary's "war on women".

Not necessarily. The crime of simple assault is defined under Florida law as
an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.
§ 784.011(1), Fla. Stat. (2015).

The statute requires proof of three elements: (1) an intentional, unlawful threat; (2) an apparent ability to carry out the threat; and (3) creation of a well-founded fear that the violence is imminent. Benitez v. State, 901 So. 2d 935, 937 (Fla. 4th DCA 2005). Further, "[p]roof of the crime of assault requires not just proof of a threat, but also proof of some physical act directed toward the victim." H.W. v. State, 79 So. 3d 143, 145 (Fla. 3d DCA 2012).

In addition, assault is a crime of intent, which is addressed by the "threat" element of assault, and "[i]t is the defendant's word or act that must be reviewed to determine whether it constitutes a 'threat,' not the reaction of the person perceiving the word or act." Benitez, 901 So. 2d at 937.

To top it all off, the victim's "well-founded fear of imminent violence" is an essential element of the crime, and this is gauged by whether "a reasonable man under such circumstances would be afraid." Johnson v. State, 888 So. 2d 691, 693 (Fla. 4th DCA 2004).

So there is a question of course of Lewandowski's supposed intent, as evidenced by his act of pulling her out of the way. But the real kicker is whether a reasonable person under such circumstances -- a reporter in the crush of a crowd of reporters surrounding a candidate guided by security trying to push through that crowd -- would have been afraid of imminent violence.

You've got to be kidding me.
