The National Enquirer's name in journalism is synonymous with factually unsupported drivel of the lowest kind. It is a sacred truth that no responsible journalist would reference the kind of garbage found in this tabloid.
But somehow it's perfectly appropriate for the same responsible journalists to report the sleaze over and over, emphasizing, of course, that the source is the awful National Enquirer.
This is what the networks have done to Sen. Ted Cruz, who the Enquirer recently claimed had affairs with five secret mistresses, including Trump's spokeswoman Katrina Pierson. The unsubstantiated smear should have never seen the light of day. Instead, it became national news. It began with ABC and NBC on Friday March 25. CBS followed on Saturday. From Friday through Monday, the networks reportedly devoted 15 minutes and 27 seconds of airtime to this character assassination campaign that's supposedly pushed by former Trump advisor Roger Stone and published by a rag that coincidentally has also endorsed The Donald.

Don't shoot the messenger. But when the messenger is peddling lies, blast it. It's such arrogance. The media elite act like they are blameless; but they are shameless.
They are also two-faced on another level. In October 2007, the National Enquirer began reporting that John Edwards was allegedly cheating on his cancer-stricken wife with an unnamed campaign staffer. But Edwards was a Democrat, so none of the three networks or the national newspapers touched it.

Their job is to PUT OUT fires.
No, sport.
Actually the opposite. I’m a bit too jaded to simply believe rumors and propaganda without substantiation. And — contrary to what is obviously your belief — vehement insistence that a rumor is true doesn’t make it true.
So how about you take a break, have a beer, relax a bit and see how it plays out? You people far too spun up to apply rational thought these days.
And when you engage in rumor-mongering... remember, there are plenty rumors out there about your Beloved’s past connections (pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, for one) that could easily be exploited into wild speculation.
Trump never sold himself as the Second Coming like your messiah does.
Too bad he is just George T Bush III and the entire GOPe is lining up behind him. Must be great to be part of the Romney, Bush, Lindsey cabal rather than against them.
Interesting. No response to that Epstein comment. Might be a target-rich environment there. Stay tuned.
Why should there be? You have already proved you do not care about morality. It would be pretty hypocritical on your part to go nuts over a guy who never pretended he was holier than thou while ignoring your messiah’s questions.
Can you say $500K? Sounds like a bribe and laws may have been broken, but you are worried about his manager touching a journalist or Epstein not answering if he spent time with Trump.
One interesting view of what the $500k could be all about-

Again... more assumptions and allegations. Y’know, at one time, I actually thought you were better than that. But instead, you’re just another common, garden-variety conspiracy freak. If YOU cared about morality, you’d check yourself on propagating rumors and lies.
Enjoy your life.
That's a major reason why I support him. lol
Senate's nothing but a den of self serving vipers.
We are nearly a week into this "scandal", yet no one has come forth to say they had an affair with Ted.
How is Trump (or Cruz) going to "Make America Great Again" from the mud he wallows in?
Ted needs to pull a page from the Clinton playbook. For example: "your focus on my perceived personal issue is not doing a damn thing to harm a single hair on the head of an ISIS terrorist."
Or somesuch...
Yeah, bozo bozell — mr. national review trump-trasher: payback’s a bitch!
Pot/Kettle/Black
By that logic, you should love Trump as he clearly has more ‘enemies’ across the board then Cruz could dream of.
I see Bushy/Romney/McCain et al all lovin’ on Cruz.
Au contraire. His poll numbers are ascending, and he will decisively vanquish Mr. Trump on Wisconsin Tuesday, coming soon. The women vote will break hard for Cruz. It’s happening as we speak, the realignment.
Women like cheaters? Like men who trash them for political posturing in Utah?
