The National Enquirer's name in journalism is synonymous with factually unsupported drivel of the lowest kind. It is a sacred truth that no responsible journalist would reference the kind of garbage found in this tabloid.
But somehow it's perfectly appropriate for the same responsible journalists to report the sleaze over and over, emphasizing, of course, that the source is the awful National Enquirer.
This is what the networks have done to Sen. Ted Cruz, who the Enquirer recently claimed had affairs with five secret mistresses, including Trump's spokeswoman Katrina Pierson. The unsubstantiated smear should have never seen the light of day. Instead, it became national news. It began with ABC and NBC on Friday March 25. CBS followed on Saturday. From Friday through Monday, the networks reportedly devoted 15 minutes and 27 seconds of airtime to this character assassination campaign that's supposedly pushed by former Trump advisor Roger Stone and published by a rag that coincidentally has also endorsed The Donald.

They are also two-faced on another level. In October 2007, the National Enquirer began reporting that John Edwards was allegedly cheating on his cancer-stricken wife with an unnamed campaign staffer. But Edwards was a Democrat, so none of the three networks or the national newspapers touched it.

Cruz has been saying over and over that Trump is behind this story, and I haven’t heard any media ask him for his evidence.

Folks have been says for a few years now that there is something going on with Mz Clintons health. I would consider that she wants the presidency, knowing she is ill, while choosing a running mate that will take over, to achieve the processes already in place. Jonathan Edwards of the Great Awakening ("Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God")? Or his like-named son who gave a eulogy at the funeral of Roger Sherman and later was president of Union College?
Of course those squishy, moderate milquetoasts in the Senate don't like him. He's too strident in his views.
