Cruz and Kasich both spoke GOP platitudes. I didn't get the feeling the crowd was loving Cruz much.

The neoconservative movement began primarily with a group of leftist ex-Trotskyites, who comfortably made their home in the Democratic Party of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the ’30s. Their foreign policy adamantly opposed the imperialistic adventures of Russia’s Joseph Stalin, while their domestic policies remained firmly progressive.

I find myself a little confused as to why former members of a group (Trotskyites) who were upset about Stalin’s “interventionist adventures” would subsequently join forces with those who themselves favored interventionist adventures. Perhaps the fact that Stalin probably arranged for Trotsky’s murder would explain that seeming illogical metamorphosis.

Cruz has the advantage of not being Trump or Clinton. Trump would be the focus of the general election, and not in a good way. In a "how can we possibly elect this idiot?" way.
