About half of the annual Exceptions Committee requests to officially convert to Judaism, about 200 cases in total, come from foreign workers, illegal Arab infiltrators, Palestinians or illegal immigrants.
This fact was announced during a Knesset State Control Committee meeting on conversions.
According to the law, anyone who is not an Israeli citizen and is not eligible for the Right of Return can only begin the conversion process after receiving permission from the Exceptions Committee. The head of the State Control Committee, MK Karin Elharar (Yesh Atid), said, “Many of those interested in converting encounter a very lengthy process, sometimes for technical reasons. And the Exceptions Committee does not address this.
“The mixture of halachic and government immigration policy concerns is not healthy. The Exceptions Committee must transfer its authority to the Interior Ministry, and instead just provide an estimate of the candidate’s honesty,” she added. …

Many are born to it. I’ve also seen the books they give to young Moslems — in this they basically lie about other religions, telling the Moslems that Christians worship three gods - god, Jesus and Mary — and with a lot of other guff.

One of the most loyal Israelis and best Jew I know is a Lebanese doctor who converted to Judaism from Islam before marrying my sister in law.
First, there are Bedouin tribes in which the women all secretly light candles every Friday night. The reason: They are descendants of Jews who were forcibly converted to Islam. They are being carefully watched for backsliding into Jewish practices, and receive occasional death threats. Second, if you were raised in Islam and reach puberty, and start asking questions about your faith, and get abuse and threats for answers, you are not too stupid to change. Third, I’ve met many Christian converts to Judaism. Did they convert because they were too smart, too dumb, simply marched to a different drummer, or none of the above? Parenthetically, I’ve also known a Jewish convert to Christianity or two, and know of at least one Jewish convert to Islam.
Child abuse is what teaching islam is.
I was beginning to wonder if there were any Islamic conversions to Judaism. I guess they are human after all, and can’t help notice the perverseness of the faith in which they were raised. That, and the hope of getting shut of check points, random searches, and accusations by neighbors of “collaborating” with the “enemy”. I ain’t their enemy. I just have a problem with being stabbed by total strangers. Guys? After you convert, can you show me how to balance stuff on my head while walking up and down mountainous roads? That is way cool.
