Wisconsin governor Scott Walker said Thursday that in the event of a contested convention, the Republican nominee will likely be someone who is not currently running.
I think if its an open convention, its very likely it would be someone whos not currently running, Walker said.
I mean, who knows. The one thing I qualify its like the qualifications you see on those ads you see for car dealerships. I think any of us who comment on this election have to qualify that almost every predictions been off, so its hard to predict anything, Walker added.
Walkers own run for the presidency went down in flames before the Iowa caucus even happened, due in large part to Walker hiring a D.C.-based team that didnt know how to manage a conservative Midwesterner. Convention head Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) has not definitively ruled out the possibility that he could get the nomination in Cleveland. John Boehner said that he would support Ryan on a second ballot.

I would NEVER vote for the liar now...
If it wasn’t for the Romney Rant just before Utah Primary, I would agree.
Romney is the one I don’t trust.
Walker has always been my first choice. Glad to see him get back involved.
walker’s approval numbers are probably way way above the con man. Remember he’s won atleast 3 of those elections
It’s a very common practice for those who drop out to get funds from those still in the race hoping for an endorsement—even tho they may not get it. It’s been going on for decades. Why did Trump give free helicopter rides in Iowa just before the cacuses there? Where would Cruz get that kind of money? Soros is not supporting him.
I hope you have body armor or can hide fast the trumpateers will savage you for such a positive post
Lol There are a lot of Trump supporters from the non-conservative wing of those who vote Republican, kind of a libertarian bent to them. They aren't very Christian, and some hate Christians as much as Dems. As such persecution from them should be expected, as they have little empathy for others, just like Dems. It's all about them, and Trump makes them feel okay about being so self-centered. I know they would string me up for not following their cult of personality if they could. It's happened all throughout history everywhere but here (so far).
Sounds like somebody needs a safe-place.
Uncle Miltie...I like the wsy you think. I would vote that Trump/Cruz ticket in a heartbeat.
Incorrect. Walker’s approval numbers have been underwater for months. Spend more time reading and less shilling.
ooops. “way”
Nah, I've never been injured by their keyboards. lol
He says the on the same day he endorsed Cruz? Very strange.
“Yep, Cruz is their tool and they are using him as necessary for their machine. When he is no longer useful he goes to the garbage heap. Hope the Cruz supp..”
Before Trump got into the race, Cruz was the best choice to be President. Nothing about him being from Canada, no infidelity, nothing.
All of a sudden, people would rather see Hillary in the whitehouse than Ted.
Nope, nothing odd about this.
He said it five days ago but his office was already reporting he would endorse Cruz. It’s more of GOP setup to get to a brokered convention.
Never fall in love with a politician, you’ll always be disappointed.
I personally believe the negatives on Hillary guarantee a Republican win, well, unless of course our nominee is the one with the highest disapproval rating ever for a candidate... You know, like say around 70% or so... Right where Trump has consistently been for the entire campaign...
Then, Hillary can win.
Walker said, I just really decided, after all these years of the Obama/Clinton failures, that its time we elect a strong new leader, and Ive chosen to endorse Ted Cruz to be the next president of the United States, for three simple reasons.
I remember distinctly back in 2012 that we were heavily encouraged to get behind Romney because carrying out the primaries was destructive and will damage his chances of beating obama.
Now that scumbag is back and encouraging a brokered convention and wants to undermine the front runner.
