Notice how the Republicans don’t have the balls to do a Bork like Ted Kennedy Speech regarding a Nominee who they feel is unacceptable?

The reason is simply that they DO find the Nominee acceptable. It’s no wonder we have no faith in the Republican Party. Just another Brick in the Wall.

We have no real Representation in D.C. and it gets more obvious every day.

We already know the Nitwit that Obama chose is a big time Gun Grabber who obviously has no understanding of the term “Shall Not Be Infringed”.

If he can’t comprehend those four simple words, God knows the damage he will inflict on our Freedoms.

These Republicans are getting cover but the seat isn’t going to be filled until after the election.

When President Obama first nominated Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, Senate Republicans were united in their wall of opposition — no meetings, no hearing, no vote.

This looks like the beginning of another failure of the Republican Party to support their voters. Talking to someone who wants to implement gun control, who supports the killing of babies, is a failure to support the Constitution, as written. With "Republicans" like those we have no party at all.

They are either wishy-washy, or they just want to get re-elected so they set their integrity aside.

Most of the problems plaguing, and sinking, this nation are the result of the two parties taking control of our system of governance.

That's true, yet it is a symptom rather than the source of our misery. Few men are willing to risk their jobs for a higher cause. Keeping one's job is job #1.

When the Framers' senate worked for the states, it was much easier to keep one's finger on the pulse of a couple hundred state legislators than to anticipate the future mood of the people and media when it was time for reelection.

With popularly derived senators, the fact that EVERY rat nominee to scotus is anti - 9th & 10th Amendment becomes irrelevant.

Once the pubbies start hearings, the game is over. They will buckle, and what was once the freest people on earth will be ruled by a 6-3 or 5-4 majority of Godless oligarchs.

Meetings mean nothing, Senators can meet until the cows come home. Hearings are another matter and they are not going to happen because the power to hold hearings are in the hands of the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee and the Senate Majority Leader.

That’s satire, right? Grassley and McConnell are well-known RINOs.

RINOs they certainly are, but that doesn’t mean that they are stupid. They are interested in keeping power and they have decided that this move will best support their goal of retaining the majority in the Senate. This is not about political philosophy, it’s about political power. Those Senators who are in a Blue State can hold meetings and tell their constituents that they are doing their best to move the confirmation forward and they are joined by some (like my Senator Moran) who are just too stupid to understand what is going on.

Politics is about deception. The politicians deceive the voters and the voters fall for it.

ILLINOIS

BELLEVILLE - Senator Mark Kirk’s re-election campaign could be undermined by the Republican Senate leadership’s refusal to hold hearings for President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland, the downstate Belleville News Democrat writes Tuesday.

Kirk has broken with GOP leadership and scheduled to meet with Garland Tuesday afternoon in D.C.

“Illinois voters demand that their elected officials offer independent and thoughtful leadership that puts the people of Illinois first all the time,” according to a statement from his campaign. Kirk said he “looks forward to meeting with Judge Merrick Garland and remains hopeful that there will be a fair and thorough hearing along with a complete and transparent release of all requested information.”
