What I noticed, maybe I’m wrong, but the leftist indoctrination centers that used to be known as our schools and universities now seem to be pushing a 100% success rate. I can’t remember the last time I met someone under 21 who wasn’t a fully zombified liberal twit. I went to see a friend of mine I didn’t see for a while, and his son is now 17 and WOW, his son is just as leftist as you can imagine. He hit on all the lib talking points, white privilege, rape, racism, Trump is evil, womans right to choose. I could actually see the hypnotic state in his eyes, the pinwheels, poor boy was fully zombified and indoctrinated. I think it’s time people starting really considering home schooling.

She expected to graduate and walk into a $65K per year job and be rich. She was going to buy a tesla automobile and a nice house...
The $65K salary is NOT out of the question for her field of engineering, but I explained to her that $30K of that is gone right away for taxes.
She almost lost it right then and there.
But then I explained that food clothing, and housing would take EASILY another $2K a month, leaving her with maybe $8k left for spending. Considering she blows a hundred dollars a week on gas and movies and going out (easy) that would leave $3K for a DOWN PAYMENT on her luxury automobile, and $400 a month payments from then on.
On with 10 years of student loans to pay, that wont leave much.
But (here’s the kicker you have to make sure you add) AT LEAST THE GOVERNMENT WILL GET $30K A YEAR TO SPEND!

As another FR poster says, this is why they don’t do anything to improve job opportunities. This way they have more supporters. If people actually start being productive, they don’t want the government to take the fruit of their labor. Slackers and the indolent want the government to give them stuff free.

That is the key. Making it clear exactly what people are paying in taxes.
Pretty much no one has a clear idea what they really pay in taxes because much of what we pay is hidden from us in taxes paid by businesses and industrial corporations.
Business does not pay taxes, they collect them. Business passes on to its customers the cost of the taxes that they pay to government. This is government hiding from the citizen the cost of government and making larger government more palatable to the citizen.
When the Leftist try to tell you that businesses are getting off easy on taxes let them know that all taxes roll down to the individual. There is no getting around that fact.
A person’s outlook on life can change quite a bit when they realize where the money to pay for things actually comes from.
