Betsy Woodruff told MSNBC the story started with the Cruz Campaign. (Vide/Tweet) The Cruz campaign reportedly knew for weeks, at least since January, about the allegations. Jeff Kuhner just reported that it was Rick Wilson pushing the story to any news outlet he could find. Scummy Roger Stone is the only person with attributed quotes in the entire NE story. Kuhner also said that David Pecker, CEO of the NE, was personally involved in the story. Both Stone and Pecker are good friends of Trump.
I say that as someone, who on policy, probably agrees with Cruz far more than I disagree with him, but there is just no way to defend him at this point, he’s lost all tangible credibility with these actions.

Look, I don't believe anything, especially in politics until it's proven. If Cruz lied about blaming Trump for the NE article, then Trump lied about Cruz for the Melania ad.

I got the impression a month ago that Cruz, despite his continued claims to a path to victory, was saying that between Trump and himself the delegate issue would never get away from them in a convention setting where the old guard had them both denied the nomination.
The only thing that kills that is to have a blood feud between them that cannot be repaired. While I have little doubt that Cruz’s campaign manager is stupid enough to start the PAC onto the Trump wife photo trail, there may be some truth to forces outside wanting to create and promote a blood feud.
If trump was going to expose Cruz’s harem he would have done it before the fake Jesus rose in Iowa.

The National Enquirer gets sued all the time. They know how far they can take accusations to avoid paying out. Statements like "“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider." don't lead to a lawsuit but they do pile on dirt.
