A 45 percent tariff is America first.
Just wait till the working class goes to buy a new car and the price of the car goes up 8 to 10 thousand dollars because of Trumps insane proposal.
Obama must be sitting back and smiling...he could never get should a huge tax increase passed. Yet Trumpsters can’t wait until Trump taxes them into oblivion...
Wishful thinking!
Trump is for American businesses.
About darned time, someone is.
Well you know what, you don’t like how these candidates talk about things they would do, if elected, why don’t you put your name up there and lets hear what your going to do, who is going to back you, what super pack, special interest groups, Wall Street Bank, let’s hear it for you...go ahead, your better than any of the two candidates, get off your butt, get busy and put your pea where your mouth is!!!
Cars will be built in America again. People will be employed again. People will have paychecks again from companies thriving again because the burdens of overregulation and government stupidity will be gone.
Take your blubbering wimpism and shove it. America WAS a strong nation when we had tariffs. AMERICA FIRST!
Go Trump!
You have absolutely no clue to what the art of the deal is.
I think they will not be complaining that much when their ability to get a job paying more the 50K/year skyrockets.

America is still the number one consumer market in the world.
If the US actually proposed a tariff such as this, automakers would come to the table and the US would never have to impose such a thing.
The Chinese don’t call Americans “The Simple People” for nothing.
Some of the comments here tell me that you do not understand the leverage the US has in this regard.
You are not mentally fit enough to negotiate a the purchase of a used car.
Yes it is since if its needed then we are better off manufacturing here and getting Jobs here. Either have a level playing field for free-trade or be a globalist anti-American.
We cannot survive the current status-quo.
I believe most Toyotas sold in the US today are made in America. True, certain components come from Japan, but American workers get are employed.
Now trying to bring clothing manufacturing back to the US is silly but in big job producing industries that produce a tangible product, a little pressure from American consumers and Trump to buy American cars is going to help.
The 45% is for China. We don't buy cars from China.
Another free traitor lie refuted.
Your an idiot...a tariff would spur production of widgets here rather than abroad where currency manipulation and slave labor garners cheaply made widgets(cars)where quality is not needed when you can pump out millions and not worry about the crappy ones because you just have the slaves make more...you are not very well informed .
