Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump blamed rival Ted Cruz for starting a spat leading up to a report in the National Enquirer claiming "political operatives" are looking into rumors that the Texas senator had multiple marital infidelities.
Trump again denied he or his campaign had anything to do with the National Enquirer report. Cruz on Friday had blamed the report on Trump and his "henchmen" while forcefully denying the report.
"I had nothing to do with it. The campaign had absolutely nothing to do with it," Trump told ABC's Jonathan Karl on "This Week" Sunday. "I have over control over the National Enquirer."

Wow, I’m shocked the guy actually says that it’s fair to say Trump didn’t start it.
Personally I’d like for Trump to come up with a decent canned response to quickly move past every time Ted Cruz blames him for something, like “Ted Cruz sees me lurking in every shadow these days. At this point that he probably blames me when he stubs his toe or his flight gets delayed. Let’s move on to some issues that matter.”
Did Cruz have sex with a woman who is not his wife?
Yes! That is the accusation that he had sex with up to 8 women other than his wife.
This whole campaign has descended into nothing more than two bratty 3d grade girls starting rumors about each other and then having a fight at the bike rack during recess.... or worse, getting their boy friends to fight each other,
Are we really going to select a candidate driven by who can start the worse rumors about each other, call them more names, and come up with more witty juvenile insults?
We deserve better..... I hope.
I should have said “while he was married to his present wife”.
OK
And now should come back to the REAL campaign and SERIOUS questions , fighting Hell-ary and the libtard croocks and their pathetic propaganda
Here’s the root of my thinking:
A Sex Scandal? Who Cares? [News was out there six months ago. Trump did nothing about it.]

The timing brings up a serious question though. So laughing at the timing could backfire.
I believe Trump’s Enquirer buddy took it on himself probably as his own way of looking after his friend.
But it was going to break sometime, somehow. The drive-bys knew all about it, but they enjoy the discord Cruz is causing with his ‘contested convention’ strategy.
Rubio started it, the GOPe probably pushed it.
I like how the headline implies that Trump had something to do with the NE story when all evidence so far points to Rubio people and the GOPe. Typical MSM anti-Trump campaigning.
That I do not know. It will all play out and we will see how much mileage this has.
TRUMP should come back to the REAL SERIOUS questions and let Cruz alone
Quote:
‘Trump also discusses terrorism in Europe and that even though Trump won in Louisiana, Cruz weaseled 10 delegates more. Cruz gets 10 delegates more even though he lost in Louisiana. Cruz is all in with the establishment Republicans. Cruz is doing to Trump what the democrats are doing to Bernie Sanders. Bernie has won multiple states where he gets screwed and Hillary gets more delegates. Cruz is NOT an outsider by any means and he is being outed in more ways than one.’ — gilgil
That is also a rumor.
Why doesn’t everyone wait for some FACTS!
Trump was trying to focus on serious issues. Read gilgil’s first post right at the top.
No it isn’t. Read on.
He’s probably right. Technically, he probably didn’t start it. Probably more like a “who will rid me of this meddlesome priest?”
You don't understand that when people attack Trump, they are going to get punched back twice as hard.
Cruz and others are simply angry and frustrated that their usual politically slimy tactics have no effect on Trump.
Donald Trump has not start any rumors. He owns what he says and does not hide behind super PACs or other surrogates.
