About the author Bryan Crabtree. He is a radio personality in Atlanta:
"Atlanta's live/local show on business & current events. "My goal is to inspire greatness in the people who like & listen." 4-6p biz1190; 9-11pm AM920 M-F"
He wrote around 10pm last night:

No further elaboration at this time. Doesn't sound like he is the source for the information, but is quoting someone else citing a "deep source." Just yesterday Drew Johnson was fired from the Washington Times for claiming at least 2 of the affairs are "accurate," either meaning they happened or that the names of the women alleged to be with Cruz are consistent with accusations floating around media.
Agree. He is a lawyer and he left no weasel room. Based on that I think these allegations are false. That and at least three publications hired investigators and all came back saying they were false.
Good news it makes Cruz look sympathetic and the GOP is coalescing around Cruz.
Ironically Trump called for the Republican party to pull together, and they are, but not around Trump, around Cruz.

Interesting, and thanks for the info. I knew someone who wrote for one of the tabloids years ago. He told me how they could ‘create’ a story, and still be ‘legal’.
One example he gave was that they would have someone call the state child protection agency, and make an anonymous accusation that person x (e.g. a politician, celebrity, etc.) was abusing their child. The state is obligated by law to open a case file and look further into this. Then the tabloid would have two separate reporters call the state to verify that a case had been opened looking into child abuse by person x. If each of these two ‘reporters’ could get verification by the state they now had two separate ‘independent’ sources, and could write a story that person x was under investigation for child abuse.
Very slimy.
Without taking a side on whether this stuff is true or not, how could he possibly clear this up? How do you prove a negative? If he remains quiet, everyone assumes he is guilty because he doesn’t defend himself. If he denies it, which he has, everyone says, “Well, of course he would deny it”. If he vehemently denies it everyone says “Look how excited he is, must be something to it”. Even if the women deny it, as two already have, we hear “They’re lying to protect themselves”. How on earth would it ever be possible to prove, beyond a doubt, that he never could have done it?
Short answer: He can’t. It is impossible. This is why reasonable people wait for proof that he did it before running with the story.
LOl! This could be taken as Cruz denying the allegations and following that up with, "if they turn out to be true, I'll have to quit the race." Hey! I'm having a funny feel-good laugh with that one. Anyway, back to sanity.
For goodness sake, this all just “broke” on Thursday/Friday and it being Easter weekend, not surprising. As for his kids, they just little girls! How in the world could they possibly know anything about such adult matters.
Seriously true. I am about ready to find another source and adjust to life without FR. Any recommendations? Last night I noticed really ugly responses toward Cruz supporters who are skeptic about this ‘scandal’. Trump support is a religion.
‘When FR started allowing Twitter feeds as source for articles it jumped the shark. Its a gossip site now.
And I thought I was the only one that noticed this.”’
“Roger Stone is a Trump minion. Only person quoted in the story Sleazy Donald pushed to his buddy Pecker.”
Okay. IGNORE all the stories that Camp Rubio had been pushing this story for months... TRUMP *HAS* to be guilty because the article quoted a former adviser. Of course... if Trump WAS guilty, would he have allowed Stone to be quoted in the piece? Of course not. None of it makes any sense - but you folks have such a strong case of TDS that logic doesn’t mean anything to you.
Believe whatever you want. Keep this crap up, and I might start believing that Saint Teddy, like many of the dirtbags in Washington, doesn’t seem to have any idea how to keep his zipper closed.
When does the gay sex whispering campaign start?
I know his looks are not his fault, and in a perfect world they would have no bearing on his prospects in the election.
But, man, what a hurdle to overcome.
The guy who didn't get laid until he was 26 sought and gained power so that he could have access to the favors of women.
It had crossed my mind that if Heidi had caught Ted having an affair, or strongly suspected he had, it would explain why she was so depressed and found sitting by the side of the highway.
I have watched his denials and read his denials; they are generally not really even denials. Take Ted's facebook response from a couple days ago:
“I want to be crystal clear: these attacks are garbage. For Donald J. Trump to enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding shows you that there is no low Donald wont go.
These smears are completely false, theyre offensive to Heidi and me, theyre offensive to our daughters, and theyre offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack.
Donald Trumps consistently disgraceful behavior is beneath the office we are seeking and we are not going to follow.”
Lets go sentence by sentence.
Sentence 1, Attacks are garbage - no denial
Sentence 2, Donald Trump bad - no denial
Sentence 3, “These smears are completely false” - but in the same sentence he refers to non specific “smears” that Donald Trump made. Donald Trump has said that he knows nothing about the allegations made in the National Enquirer so Ted is not referring to the allegations of adultery. So again - no denial
Sentence 4, Donald Trump bad - no denial
All of the rest of Ted's denials that I have seen have been the same. He is a lawyer and a good one. He sounds like he is denying something, but he is not actually denying anything. He just continues to blame Trump for something (not sure what) in nearly every sentence.
I would appreciate it very much if you could post the words of whichever denial that has you convinced that Ted has left himself no wiggle room. Maybe I have missed one where he actually made a meaningful denial. It is possible that I have missed one where he really did says something meaningful.
I've been here a long time and I never consider anything that is based on unnamed sources, no matter who is the target.
And I'm pretty sure most of you Trump supporters would be calling all of this unsourced stuff nonsense if it was about Trump.
Which is why Cruz can't really sue the NE and win.
Animals and clowns can't have me. ;)
