Pentagon chief used personal email account for nearly a year

Defense Secretary Ash Carter used his personal email account for government business for nearly a year, until December 2015, when news reports revealed the practice, according to hundreds of Carter emails released by the Defense Department.

The 1,336 pages of emails and attachments from Carter’s personal account were released late Friday in response to Freedom of Information Act requests by The Associated Press and other news organizations. None contained classified information, and most pertained to routine business such as scheduling and logistics.

The Pentagon has long banned the use of personal email for official business. Carter’s use of his personal email account, starting when he took office in February 2015, was especially remarkable given the burst of public criticism that followed disclosures in March that Hillary Clinton had used a private email account exclusively to conduct government business while she was secretary of state. …

How many Patriots have died from this TREASON
now given the “green light” from the FBI?

Did not al Qaeda BOMB the Pentagon?

Are they so stupid as to do this?

YES. They are also arming al Qaeda (=’rebels’).

The real issue isn’t email.

The real issue is that “important” people don’t have to follow any rules, regulations, or laws. They can do as they please.

You, on the other hand, — you — can be destroyed for even small transgressions. That’s why they make the laws in the first place: to keep the peasants in their places.

and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

How corrupted and rotted must be the US government? How many cases are never reported? When is disdain for security and defense more than incompetence and crosses into an intentional strategy to destroy America? Is the whole edifice of the US is like a termite infested tree that will topple with one good blow?

He must thought; If Hillary can do it I can.

This proves you can't trust a Demo-RAT, any Demo-RAT, to do anything Right.

Well put. Every day there are a thousand new cuts and bruises and the body grows weaker and less able to defend against the killing blow that is intended in the near future.

The Dems have ignored FOIA requests without any obvious penalty. Why was this one let through?

This is either leverage in case Carter defects, or the beginnings of taking him down the same road as General Petraeus.

She won’t have to. As I’ve been saying for months, the Obama administration has been running a shadow government. They all do it to obfuscate open records laws. Hillary can’t go down, if she goes down they all go down. It’s not going to happen. Most transparent administration my a$$.
