A CBS News/New York Times poll in October found that 57 percent of registered women voters had an unfavorable view of Trump. Now, it's up to 63 percent.

A broad spectrum of new national polls (the very same sources Trump would brandish when he was leading) now shows his electability in absolute sackcloth and ashes. To borrow a scriptural analogy, those who live by the polls (as Trump did from the very beginning of his campaign, with no substance) die by the polls. And so it is.

And Cruz is going to get it from women and the same Christians that were carrying him on their shoulders because of what a solid Christian he claimed to be - nothing is as one-sided and simple as the one-sided simple folks would like to think.
