"Whales are awesome." Indeed, they are. I remember a few years ago there were five or six of them just hanging out on a group for several days in Stillwater Cove right off the pier at the Beach Club at Pebble Beach. I was watching them one day trying to take some pictures and ran into a guy from the aquarium who told me there was a mother and young calf resting from the migration north and the others were there protecting them.
Very much like elephants.
