Its not winner-take-all. Its not winner-take-most. Its not even proportional.
The vast majority of Pennsylvanias Republican delegates are technically unbound or uncommitted.
Used to be they all were, but this year party rules changed slightly, making 14 at large delegates bound to vote for the winner of the PA Primary, but on the first ballot only.
There are also three automatic delegate slots for the state party chairman (Rob Gleason), the National Committeeman (Bob Asher) and National Committeewoman (Christine Toretti).
The remaining 54 delegates, elected by Republican primary voters in each of Pennsylvanias 18 congressional districts (three per district) remain legally uncommitted.
They are not bound to vote for any particular candidate and are free to exercise their own judgment in selecting a nominee.
That means there is no guarantee whatsoever that the majority of Pennsylvanias delegates will go with the winner of the Pennsylvania primary.
In short, Donald Trump could win the popular vote in Pennsylvania but lack the organizational infrastructure to fill a slate of delegates who support his candidacy.

“Theres no clue whos going to be the nominee at this point.”
If they get a 3rd candidate I’m thinking Gov. Scott Walker. He has been pretty quiet.
Paul Ryan seems most likely.
In their delusional out-of-touch minds he’s “someone who can bring the party together”.
If he lacks the organizational infrastructure to elect delegates, then he obviously lacks the organizational infrastructure to win the electoral college and doesn’t deserve to be the nominee. Important test here of Trump’s campaign skills.
Its a different game when you have the organizational skills of a major political party behind you. But Trump moron that he is would probably reject it.
Yes be a Democrat with their super delegates. Bernie had no chance at all.
Ping
If that’s the case you will see a revolt. If Trump wins PA, and the delegates, there will be a rebellion and there will be no Republican Party.
People are sick to death of this kind of garbage.
Cruzers are utterly disgusting. His little fanboys have lost him more votes than even Glenn (the Prophet) Beck.
DNC = RNC
My reply to the email was that every down ballot PA Republican candidate will take it on the chin. Personally I’ll vote against every R candidate.
I also have a list of candidates but have no idea who they support. I have no idea how to contact the Trump campaign for advice.
Pennsylvania and Ohio are two states I have trouble wrapping my head around...
Does anyone really believe that all these delegates would vote for someone else if Trump wins PA? They would have to move out of their districts at the very least because people would be so unhappy with them.
I have to believe this is an attempt at Republican voter suppression. Someone is trying to make everyone so discouraged that people won’t vote.
Except for Kelli award, running for McCain’s seat, I will too. Good advice.
Ridiculous. Looks like the people’s vote doesn’t matter. Here we go being unrepresented again.
My guess is the well-organized campaigns will put that info out closer to the vote. However, I think last time Gingrich and Santorum didn’t even get enough of their own loyal delegates on the ballot in many districts. It sounds like Trump and Cruz got their delegates on the ballot in Illinois where it has a similar system, but a study showed Trump lost 3 delegates because they had foreign-sounding names and his xenophobic base decided to pick other names.
Northeastern PA is Michigan. Southeastern PA is New Jersey. Southwestern PA is West Virginia. Northwestern PA is Ohio. And the middle is Indiana.
If it hasn’t been for Trump we wouldn’t know how much these monsters degraded the value of our vote.
Is this true?
If so, then these delegates are traitors to their constituents.
tried to sign up can’t get past the capcha
