DONALD TRUMP OPEN TO NUCLEAR RETALIATION AFTER BRUSSELS ATTACK
Reena Flores CBS News March 24, 2016 Donald Trump is not ruling out the use of nuclear weapons in the U.S. fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), according to an interview with the GOP front-runner that aired on Bloomberg TV Wednesday.
Asked if he would consider nuclear retaliation after this week's terror attacks in Brussels, Trump responded: "Well, I'm never gonna rule anything out. And I wouldn't wanna say. Even if I felt -- it wasn't going -- I wouldn't wanna tell you that because, at a minimum, I want them to think maybe that we would use it."
"The fact is that we need unpredictability," Trump said of his openness to using nuclear weapons. "When you ask a question like that, it's a very - it is a very sad thing to have to answer it because the enemy is watching and I have a very good chance of winning. I frankly don't want the enemy to know how I'm thinking. But with that being said, I don't rule out anything."
When pressed on whether he would have utilized America's nuclear capabilities after September 11, Trump said that he would only have used it as a "last resort."
During his interview, Trump emphasized that terrorists "are winning" and "we don't do anything about it."

Sure, but it’s always gonna be that way. A experienced leader doesn’t give the vicious media an opening big enough to drive a semi thru. This interview just shows again that Mr. Trump is totally unprepared for the job he’s seeking.

Because LBJ was an FDR protege, a Cold War liberal fighting Communism in Vietnam. Waging that war badly, but still fighting it.
The New Left was riddled with Communist sympathizers. Many of them were the Red Diaper Babies described by David Horowitz, the children of 1930s American Communists. They hated middle class America and they wanted Hanoi to win. They were prominent in the Anti-War movement as well as the Civil Rights movement, particularly in the violent black power end of things.
A number of these clowns are still around, some of them Obama insiders and some of them having morphed into neoconservatives.
I think the MOAB is far more likely to find a use we would find acceptable, than the nuke.
There’s less cleanup involved. ISIS shows up in a lot of what we at least used to call friendly lands. I think France, for example, would rather ISIS in its territory be MOABed than nuked.
And face it. We won’t ever nuke Mecca or Medina. We’ll keep on respecting them as religious sites which are important to far more Muslims than ever comprised ISIS.
If there is a dramatic conversion of Islamic populations to Christianity, they might dismantle those places themselves. There doesn’t seem to be any clear appearance of anything corresponding to Islam, in the book of Revelation.
But maybe, in some particular situation, it may be just perfect for a nuke. Far from civilization, isolated by ocean or desert. And Trump or whoever wants to make a point. OK, out come the atoms.

You use the weapon best suited to the task at hand, political considerations getting the last word.
Sometimes the simple threat of nuclear weapons is enough to achieve our goals.
Eisenhower brought the Korean War to a quick end upon taking office by sending a message to the Chinese via Indian diplomats. He told them that if they didn’t cease hostilities the United States would use nuclear weapons on them.
When Reagan took office our adversaries were very unsure of him. Iran was nervous enough to return their hostages before finding out what Reagan was capable of doing.
Trump is sending a similar message. The pearl clutchers show that it is having the desired effect.
