HOENIX - Phoenix mayor Greg Stanton wrote an open letter to United States attorney general Loretta Lynch requesting an investigation into Tuesday's issues for Arizona voters in the presidential preference election.

Two comments. Independents have never been able to vote in this election and secondly, AZ is a state that allows you to request and submit and mail-in ballot. Long lines eliminated, problem solved. I will say standing in line for hours is a bit over the top.
Bernie’s adolescents don’t get up before noon hence the long lines
Have they tried ‘Early Voting’ like our state FL has?......................
Our mail-in ballots are sent out a few weeks in advance. I guess you could call that early voting???? I haven’t heard that people can go to a physical place to vote prior to election day.
I was absolutely astonished at the lines I saw on the way home from work yesterday. I have never seen anything like it.

Maricopa county screwed up, there’s no way around it. They cut polling places by more than 2/3 since last time around. Certainly people should take advantage mail and early balloting, but there is that crowd that wants to vote on election day only, and really there was plenty of data out there to expect a big turnout.
And to cut back on polling places for a county this size...what were they thinking????? When I lived in the Chicago area a few years ago, I told people how we’d vote by mail. Instead of positive comments, people were bashing me for not going to a polling place. Whatever.....
The little voting booths were empty, waiting for the lines of voters that were backed up at the sign in tables. We waited 10-min while the clerk's computer was hung up looking for a voter's name.
Especially since 4 years ago there was only 1 contested primary. It would seem with both parties coming to the polls this year you’d look at that 200 as a good start, not as way too much. Maybe a memo got messed up in translation, maybe they were supposed to add 60 but somehow the “add” fell off.
Some people get really twitchy about not voting at the polls. I love vote by mail, especially when there’s a bunch of propositions. I always felt like I was cheating somehow when I brought a note to remind me how I’d decided to vote on all the props in the past, now I just do it all in my living room.
Noon is REALLY early, Dude.
We voted in Maricopa in Pinal County at 6:30 p.m. Absolutely no line and we were the only voters there initially. Our numbers were 1624 and 1625, which may refer to the number of voters coming in that day but I’m not sure if that’s the case. We were literally there for 5 minutes. I personally prefer voting in person, especially in this town when the polling place is 5 minutes away, lol.
I believe it. I have that CenturyLink Prism TV service and it is horrible!
Yes, we have Early Voting, usually all week before the actual election day, in selected sites that you can go to cast your ballot. Picture ID required .........
