While the big news of the day is obviously the awful terror attack in Belgium, something GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump recently said about the city of Brussels is resurfacing, and I have to admit, it’s a bit startling.

Bomba attacks terrorized the capital of Belgium this morning, and it’s become reminder to some of the comments Trump has made about Brussels in the the recent past. Comments labelling Brussels as a jihadist “hellhole” …it is those comments that had him criticized, but look what’s happening now…

Yeah it’s scary how he nailed that one, and whether you think he’s competent or not on foreign policy, he obviously knew what he was talking about in regards to Brussels.

Brussels police have been frantic since the Paris attack in locating cells. There is a high security presence at airports and metro and yet that was not enough. In fact, there is great fear, that they will start to use chemical weapons in Brussels. So no, anyone who keeps up with current events (I'm not talking keeping up with lottery picks) - these articles aren't underground - would be aware that Brussels was and is their main target.

Nah...this is low hanging fruit as someone else posted. Tons of people have predicted this and the prediction is there will be other attacks, too. Trump is a leader, but he was repeating what he heard others say and write about, but there’s nothing wrong with that.

The facts parallel the leadership of Churchill in similar circumstances. But when an ego is on the line, saving face is very important. Far more important than truth.
I agree with that concept greatly, but I am talking about the level of discourse is greatly lowered. Tons of uninformed people with incomplete thoughts. I could go on, but you get it.
Nah...research it. Tons of stuff written about Brussels Muslim problem. But one can’t equate with Churchill. Wait 10 years and see if one can equate with Churchill. Trump has not accomplished anything yet.

Dave, like you I’ve been here a long time. I’ve seen a lot of freepers come and go. So often it’s around a primary campaign. That’s when the differences between brothers are revealed. Barely noticed before and after, but during this season we are opponents rather than the friends we normally are. It’s part of the campaign season, but it divides brothers. The sad thing is that it is contrived by candidates, all but one of whom will fail.
I would disagree. A 10 billion empire is not nothing.
