I am goofy. You're a Trump fan. It was already assumed.

He really does come across as over-rehearsed. Trump came across as someone reading a speech someone else had written on a topic he wasn't completely up to speed on. And of course he couldn't resist the half dozens instances of bragging on himself. But Cruz and Trump on a stage for 30 minutes on nothing but Israel and Cruz would eat Trump alive.

That was EXTRAORDINARY. It's easy to see why they kept Cruz for last, as he REALLY ♥ Israel, and knows what he's talking about in this regard. And I have to mention it again; I'm so impressed with the eye contact of Ted Cruz. He holds his eyes with the person addressing him, never darts them away. Loved his walk [and picture-taking] out of the venue. Just beautiful.

Attorneys don’t “argue” before SCOTUS.
With the exception of Justice Thomas, SCOTUS Justices ask questions that are frequently designed to expose holes in the legal arguments made by the attorneys.
The attorneys must successfully argue by filling those holes with satisfactory answers. This includes citing case precedents, statutes, and regulations. Cruz was able to do that very well as shown by his track record before the court.
