Kasich: Here’s How I’ll Win the Nomination – and the Election
Yahoo Politics ^ | 3/21 | Eric Pianin

Kasich -- who has thus far won just a single primary contest in his home state of Ohio – was adamant that Trump will come up short in the delegate count prior to the July national convention in Cleveland. Kasich predicted he will eventually garner the nomination in an open convention on the basis of his broad government experience and electability in a general election against Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“I think when they take a look at my record, both in Washington and Ohio with the job growth, the wage growth, reforming the Pentagon, and can understand I have the cross-over appeal, I think I will be picked,” Kasich said during an appearance on CBS News’ Face the Nation. “So, I don’t think anybody is going to get there with the delegates that they need to win.”

At first, Kasich sounded a little overly optimistic when he said he would win.

Then, after time, he began to sound slightly delusional.

Now he sounds plainly insane.

I hate to break it to Kasich but Jeb! has a better chance of being picked in a brokered convention than he does.

The only way Trump doesn't come out of a brokered convention with the nomination is if he completely falls apart in these last primaries and winds up several hundred votes short instead of a hundred or so. If he goes in with 90% or 95% of the votes needed then he will be able to find them.

“Kasich is a leftist republican.”

And out of the remaining three, the only one who cant beat
Clinton. That is who the nominee is going to be if we leave
it up to the GOPe. They don’t want to win and when they do
it’s either on the coattails of a conservative (Daddy Bush)
or a freak of nature (baby Bush I). Dole, Romney and
McCain, all liberal leaning, all unelectable.

But I find it fascinating if the system can move the nomination away from Trump without even using "shenanigans".

It cannot be stolen from Trump unless it's stolen - then I think the GOPe will lose every down ballot race and thus the Senate and House - not a good plan for the GOPe.

That all said, shame on the people of Ohio for giving Kasich his "vanity prize" of Ohio, which kept 66 important delegates out of Trump's column.

I still think Trump will get the 1237 on his own but had he taken Ohio and completely swept last Tuesday's contests, we'd have been having different conversations.

If Ohio likes Kasich as governor so much, they can keep Kasich as governor.

Once it is mathematically impossible for Cruz to win, then I expect him to withdraw and throw his support to Trump

That will be the end of all this ‘brokered convention’ baloney (which I do not think Cruz wants)

Someone this:

a. delusional

c. agenda-driven
d. puppet-mastered
e. evil

was a representative and is governing a state in the republic. Does anyone wonder why we’re in a mess? The UNIPARTY candidate sums it up.

You know the country is in a mess when KKK protesters at a Trump rally don't get blamed for inciting violence, Trump does. Now that's wacky.

It sure looks to me that Cruz is committed to staying in all the way to the convention and won’t throw his support to Trump. The antics of he and Beck would suggest that Cruz is only interested in stopping Trump.

ie: When we're staring a Clinton Presidency in the face

Trump is throwing a Hail Mary pass for the nation, at great personal sacrifice. After the organized and financed nature of the out-of-control protestors at recent Trump rallies, it is now obvious to all that the nation is OVER if their destruction of the US isn't stopped.

If it isn't stopped, how far are we from being Libya, Dasascus, Cairo or Kiev? These professional protestors are well financed and organized, and they have useful idiots on their side. They own a lot of Republicans vying for leadership roles. A lot of the elite don't give a damn because all they care about is clingin on to power.

So there's this perfect storm brewing and only one last chance to get past it and recover. That's Trump.

Where am I going with this? If Trump doesn't get the nomination, the nation is going down anyway. We might as well hand everything to the dems. I will NEVER vote for anyone who steals the nomination, even if it's on a technicality. Get our backstabbers out of the dealing. And get your doomsday plans complete.

“Time will tell but I see all this as trumped up political theater.”

I hope you’re right. Maybe it’s a way for the candidates to squeeze more money from the donors. Also a way for the networks as they can help continue the ‘controversy’
