Donald Trump Must Beware of Trojan Horse Convention Delegates (alert!)
breitbart ^ | 3-21 | Roger Stone

Posted on 03/20/2016 9:49:23 PM PDT by dennisw

Staffer from a large Northeastern state passed the entry codes for a conference call of five Republican chairmen from significant states this past Saturday. The topic on the table? Stopping Donald Trump. I had to listen in.

These hard-boiled pols know the nomination will be decided not on the first ballot, but in a series of procedural votes by the entire convention to adopt the rules of the convention as recommended by the Rules Committee and the seating of the delegates as recommended by the Credentials Committee. Those key committees are made up by two members from each state. The bosses have been quietly planting establishment regulars in these spots.

The party kingmakers may have the votes to knee-cap Trump in the rules and credentials committees, as they did Congressman Ron Paul in 2012.

The kingmakers have planned to steal the nod from Donald Trump.

Now they party insiders want to make sure they have a working majority on the floor for the passage of their “license to steal.” Republican state chairs are planting Trojan Horse delegates into slots won by Trump on the first ballot to vote with them on procedural votes to pass the Rules and Credentials Reports that will seal the “Big Steal.” This is going on in Texas, New York, Massachusetts, Michigan, Connecticut, North Dakota, and other states.

Though these “Trump” delegates will be bound by national and state rules to support Trump through the first ballot at the convention, they are free to vote against Trump’s interests on the adoption of Rules and the seating of delegates. It’s entirely plausible that a state could seat delegates pledged to support Donald Trump who have open affiliations with other candidates. In California, Cruz and Paulistas are signing up online via CA’s GOP website as Trump delegates.

This is why Cruz voters are doing nothing but helping the GOP steal this election. Cruz has no chance of winning but every chance of stopping Trump from a knockout victory. Cruz is a Rat and a Liar. Stop voting for him. He will not be the nominee and he will hand the open convention process to the same people we are desperately trying to defeat.
If the GOP get their open convention, neither Trump nor Cruz will be the nominee. We will get another milk toast loser and Hillary will win.

Anyone really believe that Trump isn’t apprised of and aware of all these bits of “advice”?

If Trump has 1237 on the first ballot he wins. I have said this a gazillion times, most delegates will be Republican base people, ie Conservatives. They will not vote for a RINO.

Again this is why pissing of every person you run against sometimes has looking term consequences.

Great stuff, America ! I’m of course cheering for Trump to prevail in all these machinations, and stagger all the way to the Oval Office. Preferably as a third party candidate, as then the entertainment value of it all would be HUGELY increased.

Exactly how was Ron Paul “knee-capped” in 2012?

I agree with you. In fact, in many ways I am really now more upset and angry with a lot of my fellow conservatives and the talking heads of media from Rush to Beck!

This new party should have logically followed the internal revolution of the 912 and Tea Party. Instead we had folks like Rush telling us, “I’ll let you know when....blah, blah, blah...” All the time Rush is making millions off Iced Tea and Children’s history books! Beck is doing the same thing with his schtick!

We are damnable idiots and we’ve been fiddling around the fringe while our country is on fire!!!!

I will write-in Trump for President. And frankly, if someone tells me it is a throw away vote and elects Hillary, they had better look in mirror as they pull the lever for the GOP-e AGAIN! Instead of falling in line, toeing the line, get out of the damn line and choose to lead!

Sorry, I am just so upset right now....what is posted on my profile page has been there for nearly a decade, it is time it actually means something!

If the GOPe screws Trump out of a nomination he is clearly winning then yes Trump supporters should vote a straight Rat ticket to once and for all kill the GOPe. Keep vote straight D until every last globalist NWO GOPe is out of office and every last GOPe lobbyist is out of a job.

Nathanbedford, I almost always enjoy reading your reasonable debate responses. Your insights are always a great perspective on events today and historically.

What I see happening at the contested/brokered convention is neither Trump or Cruz is the nominee. The GOP-e despises them both as the ticket nominee. Many here say they will vote for Trump or Cruz either way, but what happens if the GOP inserts someone else? Can they do that? Because if they do, will they really be that dumb to take that party suicide pill?

I just can’t see people toeing the line like in past years if they pull a stunt like that?

If the GOPe screws Trump out of a nomination he is clearly winning

Under the legitimate rules as they now obtain, Trump must gain a majority, 1237, of the delegates to win. Short of that there is no "winning." It is not legitimate to convert the rule requiring majority to be the winner into a rule that requires only a plurality.

However, if we are in a situation in which there is no majority then I say we must ask ourselves whether the rule-making body which might undertake to shape anti-Trump rules is legitimate i.e. has been put in authority by some democratic process or are the rule makers merely toadies to the Republican establishment?

If the latter is the case, I would certainly oppose those and the anti-Trump rules. But as one who has advocated the poison pill of voting for a Democrat in isolated cases going back to 2014 and beyond, I think the promiscuous application of this tactic will only harm the very base of the party we seek to protect. The establishment will arise out of the ashes and find their place inside the Beltway. Meanwhile, the economy and the politics of the nation will degenerate into a dystopian nightmare.

Donald Trump just ain't worth it.

You are absolutely right, a party suicide must be avoided at virtually all costs. My argument on this thread is that Donald Trump is not worth the cost.

Nevertheless, it would be wrong for the elite of the the party to change the 8 state rule if Donald Trump is the only man to qualify. But it would be equally wrong to proclaim Donald Trump the nominee if he fails to gain a majority of delegates.

The conundrum arises if Trump is the only candidate who passes the 8 state threshold but fails to get a majority. I assume in that event he will get the nomination through horsetrading. If the establishment tries to short-circuit that process by changing the rules concerning the 8 state nomination, they should be opposed.

We are talking about a rather fine scenario and we are not nearly there yet.

b>" And this will be done in the name of a man who is not a conservative, not a Republican, not even a decent human being"

A little judgemental are we? Ignoring facts? Conservative ( provide an acceptable definition for everyone on this forum,) You'll find everyone's definition variesfrom slightly to wildly. Not a Republican, last time I checked he's leading the Republican party. That makes him more Republican than you and me.... Decent human being? You mean the guy who put women in charge of major construction projects decades ago before it was considered....or how about the Trump that when he opened his Country Club in Palm Beach demanded that blacks and Jews be admitted when all the other Clubs excluded....then championed their admittance to the other clubs... He's rough amd tumble...guess you can't handle that....you embarass your moniker.... Go join little Billy Krystal and the other so called conservatives working hard to perserve the status quo in D.C. That's why the GOPe doesn't care who's in power, at least Hillary would keep the graft game going.....obviuosly you do too...

Well then there is no point in the Primary. We are ran by an oligarchy, and we no longer have representation.

Understand this Freepers.

The Establishment Rats can’t win a fair and square election. Thus, they have to STEAL AN ELECTION by VOIDING THE VOTES.

It’s disgusting and it’s what I would expect in North Korea.

Many of us have known that for a long time, but some still want to wishfully believe that is not the case.
