Cruz in Utah: Glenn Beck says he’s fulfillment of Mormon prophecy, Gayle Ruzicka predicts he’ll be better than Reagan.
Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz told Utahns on Saturday that the biggest danger America faces is career politicians who no longer listen — and he relishes battling them for the people.

Beck, a Mormon and conservative radio talk show host, said he always vows to be the worst enemy of politicians who do not keep promises. "I don't have any friends in Washington except these two," he said about Cruz and Lee. He added they are the first politicians he has even endorsed.
Beck said that he, like many Mormons, believe in a prophecy that the Constitution will hang by a thread in the last days. He said he believes that now is that time, and people like Lee and Cruz will save it.

While not scheduled to appear, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney — who had been campaigning for any GOP presidential candidate except Donald Trump — gave a big boost to Cruz the day before his visit.
He asked voters in a Facebook post to support Cruz, and said he would vote for him personally during the Utah GOP caucuses on Tuesday.
"The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Sen. Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible," Romney wrote.
"Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these," wrote Romney,

I do not understand Ted clinging to this guy. It's like wearing a chain around your neck with an amulet that has, "I'm bat-"S" crazy" on it.

You can’t make this stuff up. Well, someone did, though.
I think most of that’s correct, but let me check with a couple folks.
I don’t think ANYONE can consider Cruz a serious candidate for November, now that he’s linking up with Glen Beck.
At this point, all one can conclude, is that Cruz simply wants to STOP TRUMP. If he’s able to also win the nomination (and then get blown out in November because of his associations with people like Beck) that’s just fine, if instead he’s only able to hand the nomination process to the GOPe so that they can install Jeb, Romney, or Linda, just to have that person lose in November, that is also JUST FINE.
They key, I guess for Cruz, is STOPPING TRUMP. We’ll all pick up the pieces later, I guess.
My theory is that Glenn Beck thinks he is the White Horse, saving the country by supporting Ted Cruz.
I did watch someone on YourTube running a clip of Cruz’s dad claiming the US Constitution was divinely inspired.
That’s 100% Mormon theology.

I can’t believe Mike Lee would get on the same stage with Beck. Then again, Lee needs those Mormon votes.

I’ve always thought Beck was pretty far out there, but now I’m sure of it-democrats earned the laughter and scorn of everyone but the most deluded when they portrayed Obama as some kind of messiah, but I guess Beck doesn’t remember that-I wonder of Cruz is wishing he’d never gotten Beck’s endorsement and “assistance” with his campaign...
In South Carolina Beck was saying that Cruz had been sent by God to guide us thru the rapture. Later, he said that Scalia’s death was part of God’s plan to get us to vote for Cruz. Now, Cruz is the fulfillment of Mormon prophecy.
Beck sounds like someone who should be holed-up in a compound with a stockpile of Kool-Aid, not anywhere near someone’s presidential campaign.
I’m convinced that the excesses of Beck’s blather is what turned off a lot of Evangelicals in South Carolina, and it resulted in Cruz not winning a single county. Hopefully, this nutcase jabber will have the same effect in Utah.

Well... some FREEPER won the big prize. I don’t remember who it was, but earlier on another thread some Freeper said that Beck would say substantially this same thing.
Even Cruz must realize by now that Beck’s nuts.The question is,what will Cruz do about it?
