According to a polling average complied by Pollster.com, Ted Cruz leads Donald Trump in Utah with 22 percent support to 18 percent for Trump, and a mere four percent for Kasich. But those polling numbers may no longer be relevant and Trump will try to push them considerably farther in his direction by holding his Salt Lake City rally on Friday.

Oh my gosh I am so glad we have our own thread back, a Cruz supporter just called me a hussy on another thread, I simply said Cruz could not win the general, they needed to get out of Texas and look around the rest of the nation!!! I was then called a little hussy!!!

I just got into the Rally after 2 hours in line. The Utah Republican Chair James Evans (who is black) is speaking to the croud about getting involved in the process. Responding to croud comments. Said to give him credit for getting the candidates to come to Utah. He did a good job.

Caucuses are dominated by the party types. By allowing online votes, it helps Trump because it waters down the Utah establishment vote.

The venue only holds 1800. I got in line at 4:30. Probably only 1600 inside. Not currently letting more people in. Thousands still in line.
Very touching when they kept going through the line and pulling out the veterans and letting them and their families in first.
Very few protesters. We mostly mocked and laughed at them and chanted Trump and USA!

I checked for online tickets at 2am and they weren’t up yet. When I woke up at 6:20am they were available and I got 2.
It was fantastic to hear all the positive talk and pro Trump talk while we stood in line. We had a good time.
The doors are now closed. Only about 100 people got in after us. Wow.
