My mom voted Nixon in ‘68 because of the riots. MY MOM. I don’t think she had ever voted anything but Democrat before that. Sadly, she voted for Carter. But after Reagan’s first team she finally voted Republican for good, and officially became one in 1996. My dad said it only took 42 years to get her to switch! It will be interesting, though, to see how riots are portrayed this year. You’ve got a media that consistently blames the candidate.
