With Ohio Gov. John Kasich having won his states GOP presidential primary, the national Republican Party is setting up the narrative that its future now depends on Kasich.
In a press release, Kasich campaign chief strategist John Weaver said with Kasich winning Ohio the only state he has won thus far the primary race is a whole new ballgame.

Thanks, but no thanks GOPelite. The Dem’s LOVE him. He ran in the wrong primary.
Well then....."Bye."
The superbowl confetti, after winning one state, just about had me in stitches last night. LOL!
How many losers have the GOPers and their mediots pushed and failed to get any traction?
Maybe the GOP is doing this to elect Trump so the party can remain viable.
I wish the GOP had displayed this much energy trying to beat Obama last time, or derail his agenda ever since...They keep showing their true colors. This will hasten their demise.
Clearly the GOPe has a plan for him to win 104% of the remaining delegates.
Nope. Kasich is one of the least acceptable candidates who entered this year’s race.

Kasich is mixed on some issues and indistinguishable from Hillary on others. There are few issues on which I trust him - very few.

Chris Wallace: “Do you regret your vote for the Assault Weapons Ban?”
Kasich: “No . . .”
[Note: The NRA changed his rating from F to A. I was disappointed in them and trust them less because of that change.]

Kasich on forcing bakers to participate in gay “marriage” by making custom wedding cakes for that parody of a sacrament: “People talk about religious liberty, and I think frankly our churches should not be forced to do anything that’s not consistent with them, but if you’re a cupcake maker and someone wants a cupcake, make them a cupcake”

Kasich on Obamacare in his state: “What we’ve seen as a result of this? Saved lives, there’s no question about it”

Kasich on Amnesty: For those that are here that have been law abiding, God bless them . . . should have a path to legalization. And: For the 11 and a half million who are here, then in my view if they have not committed a crime since theyve been here, they get a path to legalization. Not to citizenship. I believe that program can pass the Congress in the first 100 days”
With “Republicans” like K-Suck, who needs Democrats?
After all, suddenly, the PA signatures to put Kasich on the ballot have ‘appeared.’
Here’s my theory - the GOPe pushed Kasich to stay in, just to take delegates from Ohio from Trump. If Trump won those delegates, he’d get to 1237 for sure. Now, it is up in the air.
Their only goal is a contested convention - then they will push in one of their own. Perhaps Kasich? Maybe that’s what they promised him. He has been ridiculous saying that it’s only math, he won’t worry about not getting the 1237. Sounds silly on the surface, but not is there are dishonest things going on under the surface.
Kasich said yesterday that he will not work for Trump in any capacity.
If I was an Illegal or a Jihadist I’d move to Ohio, I’d know they love me there.
Kasich wraps up AZ for Trump.
The party’s future rests on them not screwing over the people that want Trump. If Trump wins the delegate votes and they put in someone else, Trump should absolutely run 3rd party, and I will vote for him there. The eGOP as it is for their dishonesty will not be receiving any votes from me or any candidate, federal, State, or local. I am done with their nonsense. They played games here locally last election that were completely liberal. I am done with them.
Kasich said yesterday that he will not work for Trump in any capacity.
Kasich is not going to get much of anything except 15 minutes of heavy media coverage. He has no chance to win the nomination.
My belief at this point is that Trump is going to start pressuring/cajoling the party into wrapping this thing up quickly by starting to push in the next several weeks for Kasich and Cruz to drop out and coalesce around him. Dragging this mess out til June is not a good idea.
On the other hand, if we go into July with Trump 950, Cruz 750, Kasich 400, Rubio 150, etc... It makes it a lot easier for the Republicans to say, "There really isn't that much consensus in the electorate on how to move forward. The candidate with the most delegates was almost 300 shy of the what is needed. Plus Trump is evil and Cruz is weird so let's just give it to Paul Ryan. He was nominated Speaker by the representatives of the people. That is only fair."
In other words, if Kasich is OUT these are the odds...
30% Ryan
25% Trump
25% Romney
20% Cruz
If Kasich is IN these are the odds...
70% Ryan
20% Romney
6% Cruz
3% Kasich
1% Trump
A bargain will be struck, I feel sure. Probably before the convention, after the rules meeting in April.
