I think you are right. Cruz has his areas of strength and he'll win a few more caucuses and western states but he's been finishing third or fourth in a lot of key battleground states east of the Mississippi.

The only real test Trump has left is in California in June (winner take all - 172 delegates).

The biggest threat to Trump is an open convention if he doesn’t have enough delegates to win the nomination on the first ballot.
