Three influential leaders in the conservative movement have summoned other top conservatives for a closed-door meeting this Thursday in Washington D.C. to talk about how to stop Donald Trump and, should he become the Republican nominee, how to run a third-party “true conservative” challenger in the fall.
The organizers of the meeting include Bill Wichterman, who was President George W. Bush’s liaison to the conservative movement, Bob Fischer, a South Dakota businessman and longtime conservative convener, and Erick Erickson, the outspoken Trump opponent and conservative activist who founded RedState.com.
"Please join other conservative leaders to strategize how to defeat Donald Trump for the Republican nomination,” the three wrote in an invitation obtained by POLITICO that recently went out to conservative leaders, "and if he is the Republican nominee for president, to offer a true conservative candidate in the general election."

We have a true conservative in the election. if Cruz loses, he loses. He didn’t close the deal. So suck it up if he loses it’s not like he got railroaded this time. sheesh
If Trump loses im sure as hell not one of these aholes that will vote for Hillary. But if they steal it from trump at a shady convention..thats a diff story

I won’t even call myself a conservative anymore. The word “conservative” has become so bastardized that it is without meaning. What’s the difference between conservative big government or liberal big government other than the shares of ill-gotten gains by either side winning?
Well that would guarantee Democrat control of POTUS, SCOTUS, and Congress for decades.
So we can forget about talking politics on FR and just discuss guns, prepping, and religion.

Trump was on Hannity saying any third party run is disastrous for the country because Hillary will win and that he has a political maneuver that will stop them and stun everyone because no one will see it coming...
all I have to say is that anyone contemplating running 3rd party that held a position in the republican is dead politically.
