REVEALED: Trump Just Promised Former GOP Candidate Prominent Role In His Administration

In an interview Monday on The Steve Malzberg Show, former presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson announced that he would be serving in an “advisory capacity” in a Trump administration.

“Now, I do believe, certainly in my discussions with Donald Trump, he does love America and he does want to be successful,” Carson said. “And he will surround himself with very good people.”

As it turns out, the retired neurosurgeon revealed, he would be one of those “very good people” working alongside the billionaire front-runner should Trump win the general election.

He confirmed that he would be “doing things” within a Trump administration, elaborating only that he would be serving “in an advisory capacity.”

“That has been determined?” Malzberg asked. “When you sat down with him, that was discussed?”

Carson confirmed that he discussed the issue broadly with Trump, though he shied away from revealing any specifics.

“Well, we haven’t hammered out all the details,” he said. “It is very important that we work together in this country.”

Pressed to reveal whether he would hold a position in Trump’s cabinet, Carson reiterated that he would not “reveal any details about it right now because all of it is still very liquid.”

It’s a news story Kenny. You’ve been here long enough to recall when news stories were posted for comment. That’s what this is. It’s what happened today.

I see the new Surgeon General!

Surgeon General is figurehead position.

Carson rates at least being head of Health and Human Services, or perhaps CDC

"I see the new Surgeon General!"

I hope NOT!

I read that he wants chips implanted into people. That's what turned me off of him.

Carson will probably run for the Rubio seat in Florida. He was twitting about it the other day.

Surgeon General is a low level position usually filled by career bureocrats. Carson will not come out of retirement for that.

I don’t think so. The people you really would want to pull over would see him as an Uncle Tom. I don’t see it that way, but they would.

I have this rule of thumb. If I wouldn’t vote for a guy to be president, I don’t want him to be the V.P.

Carson is a good man and may well fill an important cabinet position. I don’t see him as presidential.

Trump will be gone in four or eight. I don’t want him to be Bushwhacked like Reagan was.

The original 16 or 17 were an entire administration, and a wise man could'a, would'a been thinkin' that way

Carson was ALWAYS Surgeon General (at least) and Cruz COULD'A had a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court

Remember ... in the beginning ... Cruz and Trump confabbed together and they were hands off for the longest time.

I wasn’t being critical, just wondering if the guy who was interviewing thought he scored by exposing Dr. Carson’s discussion.

Yes, HHS if he can administrate. Ben’s a good guy, no DC slug.

You deeply misunderstand Trump, or Palin or both.

Ten days I was saying, with Rudy Giuliani and Cruz as legal muscle. Now, just Rudy. Cruz has really fouled the nest.

Carson is a truly outstanding and accomplished individual in the medical field and yes, he has experience as an administrator.

My choice would be putting Carson in charge of dismantling ObamaCare and rebuilding our Obama and Democrat Party devastated health care system to bring it into the 21st Century and exploit the recent and growing wave disruptive high technology medical advancements

Can't think of a better man than Carson for what arguable may be the most important and high profile job in the country.

Carson is more valuable than that. Maybe the architect of a major overhaul and privatization of MediCaid.

Health and Human Services... runs/disburses federal grant money and sets health policy.

Should be defunded, the states can handle the function. Welfare needs to be slashed and structured to serve only the truly needy, not to buy the parasite vote.

Trump's rallys always contain his promises on trade and job imbalances. This is news today that personifies exactly what Trump talks about:

Avon to Cut Jobs, Move Headquarters

Beauty products maker to reduce head count by about 2,500, transition base to U.K.
