President Barack Obama will come to London in April and urge British voters to back continued membership of the European Union, The Independent on Sunday newspaper reported.

Britons vote in June on whether to remain part of the world's biggest trading bloc and Obama has previously said he wants Britain to stay in the EU and help maintain the post-war transatlantic partnership.

Most opinion polls show voters are split with a large number of people as yet undecided.

Obama is due to attend a technology fair in Germany in late April and a source told the Independent on Sunday he would visit the British capital around that time.

"Which is precisely why obama likes it."

If they break away will they be more willing to change their ehummm as I clear my throat, their "immigration policies", and he can't have that, from his world view / epistemological base, if they say no, who else will, and what effect will it have on the dollar? Will some of their banks downgrade us again if they are free to speak their mind?

Reading the comments on the Daily Mail, there are a lot of British who don’t want to hear anything Obama has to say on this or anything else.

He was against Scottish devolution from the UK — which would have put Scotland INTO the EU as a newly independent nation, assuming they could get finances worked out — and way back in the summer of 2014 he also spoke out against Brexit, go figure. He just won’t shut up.

No the problem for Obama is that the EU countries must all fall in line with what the powers that be in I think its Brussels says...

right now they are demanding that all of the EU countries take in the illegal alien men who are from moslem countries you know the “refugees” Obamas good co-religionist buddies...

If Britain leaves they will no longer be subject tot eh EU leadership and can say no to the “refugees” entering England ...

In Calais there are 10s of 1,00s of these moslem men camped out near the Chunnel trying to sneak into England...life for the local French has come to a standstill they are not safe in their homes and businesses have had to close...

pressure is on Britain to let the moslems in...

David Cameron wants to stay with the EU...many of the British subjects don’t want to be part of it...

and they don’t want the moslems ...

Sadly, once he’s off the throne, we will still hear from him. Kinda like one of those friggin’ mosquitoes that buzzes around your ear while you’re trying to sleep and no matter how hard you try, you keep missing slappin’ the crap out of it?

Well, since Obola hates the UK even more than he hates the US, it is easy to see whether he actually wants the UK to succeed - or fail - by remaining in the Euro-Zone of forced socialism and foreign control.

But Oboma hates Israel more than anything on earth - Would he work to keep Israel in the Union - if he knew being in the union would actually help Israel, or would he just try to force it to import nuclear weapons?

Good thing he buttered up Cameron first. Blaming Cameron for the Libya fiasco is sure to put Obama in Dutch with the British gov’t.

Just how is the EU/UK the USA’s (much less Obama’s) business? He’ll probably be as persuasive with them as he was with the IOC. Enjoy the Rio games, Barry!

By contrast: Obama Won't Meet With Netanyahu During Controversial U.S. Visit: Too Close to Israel's Elections Yahoo! News January 22, 2015 | Olivier Knox Posted on ‎1‎/‎22‎/‎2015‎ ‎6‎:‎43‎:‎56‎ ‎PM by 2ndDivisionVet President Barack Obama will not meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the latter's controversial March 3 visit to Washington, the White House announced Thursday, saying a meeting could be perceived as an attempt by the administration to influence Israel's March 17 elections. "The president will not be meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu because of the proximity to the Israeli election, which is just two weeks after his planned address to the U.S. Congress," National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said in a emailed statement. “As a matter of long-standing practice and principle, we do not see heads of state or candidates in close proximity to their elections, so as to avoid the appearance of influencing a democratic election in a foreign country," she said....

He’ll have as much pull as he did concerning the Chicago Olympics.

Ya, that was funny. We saw the spectacle of an American president making a special trip to Copenhagen, to influence the voting on the city to host the Olympics. It was funny to see Chicago was the first city eliminated during that vote. Clearly his trip made no difference.

It was funny to watch CNN and other media that day, as they had to report such unbelievable news, that the magic touch of Obama did not result in Chicago getting the Olympics.
