Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
CBN News ^ | March 10, 2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 6:23:01 AM PST by VitacoreVision

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

Let me tell you what I am informed about -- the political condition of the country from W's second term through Obama today. The GOPe has paid lip-service to conservative principles and conservative voters, while walking lock-step with liberals to feather their own nests. PERIOD.

TARP, Obamacare, all the "continuing resolutions", $11 TRILLION in debt.

Think about this for a second. Think about all the rallies Trump as held. Every day, two to three rallies, hundreds of miles apart. There's venues and travel expenses and all that. Trump has said he's spent around $25-30 million so far.

We've added $11 TRILLION in debt. I don't think people realize just exactly how much money has been squandered and stolen from U.S. taxpayers.

If the GOPe is fighting Trump that hard, it can be for only one reason -- they don't want their gravy train drying up!

“Apparently, Trump supporters do not like it when someone tells it like it is. “

Like it is? Trump voters are “low information voters”??

The last time some junior Senator who was a Harvard lawyer with a questionable citizenship talked like that we got Obama. Different party, same attitude.

“Trump needs to rip of the mask and reveal the true Cruz.”

Trump has been saying for awhile the Cruz is nasty.

there are a few of us who switched form cruz on here because of stuff like this and as the days go on the more I am convinced I made the right decision.

Very sad that the man had a bright future ahead of him too, but he’s now ruining himself

I am not ‘better’ than you, and make no such claim.

But, sorry, I have been reading your posts, so I have a real basis for my opinion that I am smarter than you, better informed than you, and have better judgement than you. Sorry, just calling it as I see it.

People that demand their Constitutional right to bear arms are derided by some as “gun nuts”.

People that demand their Constitutional right to a natural born President are derided by some as “birthers”.

Anyone that derides someone for claiming their God given Constitutional rights is a disgusting, Constitution hating, liberal.

Sometimes, understanding that someone is an arrogant entitled little prick is all the “information” needed.

“Wow...it’s one thing to have the media and talking heads to insult us that are supporting Trump, but to have a ‘constant conservative’ such as Ted ‘Canadian’ Cruz come out and call us ‘low information’ voters....well that doesn’t set to well.’

Kind of makes sense now as to why Cruz supporters are fine being so nasty. Leadership!

well said. they can spin this as much as they want, but the fact is they know deep down what cruz did.

just like when he said this and now is with the establishment.

“Let me encourage other members of the establishment: Keep supporting Donald Trump because every time you do it, what it is doing is telling conservatives all over the country is where you stand and who stands with you”.
- Ted Cruz, New Hampshire stump speech

“Now Donald has a harder problem in the West,” Cruz said. “It’s interesting. I mean, his location, he does well in the Southeast. He does well with a certain demographic of voter. Donald gave a press conference where he said, to quote him, ‘I love the poorly educated.’”

“I love the poorly educated” ~~Donald Trump

“Actually, you just made his point. Gonna make Cruz pay in the general by stayin home or voting for shrillary.

It’s not like that reaction will finish destroying this country and probably western civilization or anything.’”

Maybe you haven’t heard the GOPe wants to stop Trump. You know, the one who can actually put former Blue states in play in the general. Cruz has made it abundantly clear he cannot do that, which is just fine with those in the GOPe that are on record as preferring Hillary over Trump.

Cruz in the general? Please. He’ll make Romney’s campaign look like a home run.

Gee, Ted, that’s what liberals said about the Tea Party that got you elected.

Slimy, just like I thought he was. What a moron. He’s off my short list.

So, he “allegedly” said the same thing that Trump said about Iowa voters?

And the trumpeters are all pissy about it, now?

Ok, got it.

Hypocrisy much, guys?

*****
FAIR. Now the Cruzers are equating their guy’s behavior with Trump, you won’t be criticizing Trump’s behavior anymore. You wouldn’t want to be called a hypocrite, would you?

Good to know.
