Clinton will have a hard time winning over voters fed up with corporate-friendly trade deals
Bernie Sanders' win in Michigan on Tuesday night was truly startling. Behind by an average of 20 points in nearly every pre-election poll, the Vermont senator rallied a diverse cross-section of voters on his way to a narrow - but revealing - victory.
The votes are still being counted, but it appears Sanders will gain 3 to 5 more delegates in Michigan than Clinton. Given the expectations, this is quite the achievement for Sanders. The results in Mississippi were far less surprising but equally important: Clinton won by a whopping margin of 66 points - 82 percent to 16 percent. That means she's likely to earn close to 28 more delegates than Sanders, extending her already sizable lead.
There are two ways to interpret the Michigan results if you're a Democrat. On the one hand, Sanders supporters can see the victory as a narrative-altering event, something that changes our perception of what's possible moving forward. Clinton has succeeded thus far thanks to her Southern firewall and her enormous advantage over Sanders with minority voters.
But Michigan suggests that Sanders has a much broader appeal in non-Southern states with diverse populations. Sanders did well with his typical demographics in Michigan, but he also won white women by five points and non-college-educated whites by 17 points....

No way the Hildabeast would beat any Republican. The folks are too upset and are ready to rid the nation of the DC elite.
It’s funny though Democrats and the GOPe has been telling us for years that the only way for the Republican Party to survive nationally would be to roll over on amnesty, which would then somehow endear Latinos to us. That never made sense because Latinos, particularly the ones most concerned about amnesty, vote for Democrats, so the more of them you make into citizens, the worse it’s going to be for Republicans.
But then lo and behold, there’s this other whole group out there, called white people, and there are millions and millions of them concentrated actually in some pretty important states from an electoral standpoint, and actually their votes are very much in play, having been increasingly ignored if not insulted by the Democrats, so why wouldn’t the Republican Party want to appeal to this group instead of the phantom Latino electorate?
If Trump pulls this off, he will have absolutely destroyed this entire false narrative.
Who is more establishment than hillary?
Absolutely agree. It is destructive to the nation, and tragically destructive to the groups they are manipulating. But hey, they get to have cool jobs, eat at trendy restaurants, be on television, and have those who are judging superficially think they are actually really smart. So maybe its worth it to them, in some immature, selfish, sad way.
Hillary has said who could be more of an outsider than the first woman president? She denies she’s any sort of establishment politician. Of course that’s absurd but she tried to tell people she’s an outsider......
Trump = Perot = Trump = Perot
.
Heh.
Heh heh.
This is the covert admission behind all the panic over Trump. Yah, he can win the Presidency. It was this bone grating truth that was apparent from the day he announced, but the leftist Priesthood of Denial and Hysteric Blindness nattered on about the impossibility of Trump’s maverick outsider capacity to call a spade a spade keeping him in the running. This psychotic break from reality by the lefties and the oligarch controlled GOP is what will lose them the election and their ability to shape events into the near future. I just ordered a case of Orville Redenbacher’s.
The ONLY way Trump loses to Hillary is voter fraud. The ONLY way...
Entirely possible, but the witch will never benefit from it as there will be no discernible unified nation to rule.
Some polls that are being quoted are polls of registered voters or just “adults” — NOT “likely voters”.
GOPe is colluding w Hillary to try to deny Trump the nomination so she won’t have to face him in the general election.
I have seen some articles to that effect.
Here is an article about what I mentioned:
I think Trump appeals to a lot of white working class Democrats. I think I hey at least feel something is amiss with the country and Trump may be able to fix it.
But of course you posted Trump had no chance against her in an earlier thread and post with Trump losing.
Many Trump supports like myself know that the polls showing him losing are FOS.
Best to you.
How could this be. She is so relateable. She was dirt poor when she left the White House and the poor woman is only paid $300,000 for a 20 minute speech. Who could get by on that.
Ridiculous.
And as for H. Ross Perot: if he had stayed in the race the whole time instead of jumping back in 30 days before the general election, he would have won the Presidency handily, IMHO.
Even as things were, Perot still got 18% of the popular vote, which was pretty amazing for someone who hopped back in with only 4 weeks to go...
These are the same polls showing her winning Michigan by 20-—before Dinobernie beat her.
Do you really think Salon would say this at this point if they thought Hillary would lose to Trump? You Trumpsters are such easy prey.
Now I’m a Trumpster? Hahahahaha!
Trump is the candidate of the working class. Hillary is the candidate of the shirking class.
Im so confused. I thought polls said she would cream Trump? I need answers.”
National polls show Trump loses to Hillary.
Must win State polls (FL, OH, PA) show Trump beating Hillary.
