Donald Trump won the Mississippi primary on Tuesday, extending his hold over the Deep South and advancing his march toward the Republican presidential nomination.

Trump’s victory came as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has been struggling to overtake him in Bible Belt states where evangelical Christians dominate Republican primaries.

“Reverend Ted isn’t doing a very good job down south again, is he?”

Mormon prayer partners and Dominionist bullshit doesn’t square with the Word. Southerners know their gospel, even if they reject it.

Part of this is the Glenn Beck factor. His fasting and ranting and raving might have cost him a bunch of votes. Ted C.’s misrepresenting Trump’s issues was another factor.

89% of the vote so far to Trump or Cruz

To beat Hillary we need about 300%.

If Trump can keep this a 4 man race... He’ll keep winning.

But he’ll quickly become a footnote if this becomes a two-man race.

Because Cruz is the better man / candidate.

The radio was playing bites of the candidates today at the top of every hour. Some different soudbites for a couple of them, but this I what was heard...

Kasich = “We’re gonna win this...Rah Rah America”

Rubio = “We’re gonna win this...Rah Rah America”

Trump = “We’re gonna win this...Rah Rah America”

Cruz = “Don’t elect Trump...Trump sucks”

Of course I’m paraphrasing, but in at least 3 different soundbites, I never once heard 3 of the candidate dis anybody else and had uplifting comments that one normally hears in when voting begins.

However, in 3 different soundbites, Cruz was pleaing with people not to vote for Trump and telling them how bad Trump is.

T. Cruz made a huge mistake in attacking D. Trump. That is no way to win over Trump’s supporters. He just comes across as too negative and sort of hate-filled.

Reminds me of the character Mickey Rourke played in Barfly: kept fighting the bartender and just kept getting his a$$ stomped.

I supported both Trump and Cruz up until 2 debates ago when Ted joined with Rubio and did exactly what the GOPe was telling them they needed to do by machine-gunning Trump at the debate.

The handshake and the quasi-endorsement with Rubio were the final straws after Beck had burned all of the other straws

Lol. You are trying I give you that. You think Cruz could win Mississippi and Michigan with just Ted? If that’s the case, how did trump get 50 percent in MS? You are a riot though.
