The Obama administration sent the first $500 million to the United Nations' Green Climate Fund this week, thumbing its nose at Republican opponents who say taxpayers shouldn't be on the hook for the money.
Critics of the U.S. participating in the fund came out against the president's actions Tuesday.
"President Obama continues to prioritize his political interests over the interests of the American people," said Tom Pyle, president of the conservative American Energy Alliance. "The administration intends to funnel hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars into the U.N.'s climate slush fund while pursuing a domestic agenda that will raise energy costs and leave all Americans poorer."
The payment is part of the climate deal President Obama helped pull together in Paris in December. The $500 million is part of a $3 billion commitment to the fund by the U.S. to help poorer countries cope with the effects of climate change.

He has to give that money to the UN so they can use it to bring more “refugees” into this nation so that 0 can really fundamentally transform this nation .
It’s going to be a VERY LONG year .
We don't need no stinkin' statutory authorization and appropriation!!
500 million we are against to the globalist cause. The UN is a cesspool and this treasonist bastard just gave them our hard earned money
That check should be goodbye money to the UN. Take the 500 mil and leave the US. Think about what they can get for that money in Mogadishu.
Amazing how they have done nothing to stop him
Meanwhile a national treasure, the USS Olympia that fired the first shot to defeat the Spanish at Manila Bay in the Spanish American war, the ship that brought back the unknown soldier from WWI, is facing being towed to sea and sunk because nobody has 20 million to send it for badly needed dry dock work.
But we have 500 million to drop on the climate grifters at the UN.
Bump
EEEEWWWWW, DISGUSTING!!!!
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
Like I said 4 months ago.
Obama is using taxpayer dollars to buy himself his next job.
Secretary General of the UN.
Oh and for those who say “He can’t do that”
You also as President, can’t spend $$$ which was never funded by Congress.

Patriots, quit picking on Obama !
Beware that the corrupt media is singling out last-term Obama as a pawn with respect to unpopular and unconstitutional spending.
More specifically, the Founding States had given the power of the purse uniquely to the House of Representatives as evidenced by the Constitutions Clause 1 of Section 7 of Article I. The problem is that the corrupt House is letting lawless Obama do Congress's unconstitutional spending for it so that lawmakers can keep their voting records clean. And by keeping their voting records clean, lawmakers are able to fool low-information patriots into reelecting them.
Remember in November !
When patriots elect Trump, Cruz, or whatever conservative they elect, they need to also elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the new president, but also protect the states from unconstitutional federal government overreach, including putting a stop to unconstitutional taxing and spending.
Also, consider that such a Congress would probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
I doubt he technically can do this.
Well at least it is a bit less than one of Moochelle’s vacations.
Is there a recent change in status? I know the work is urgently needed, and that the problem has been festering for years. I am astonished that no one has coughed up the money yet. I'm not close to the Olympia situation but I wonder if there is a worm in the apple in Philadelphia that is hamstringing the effort. Do you have any sense of the nature of the problem? $20 million would seem to be a manageable sum unless something is getting in the way.
Way to stand tough GOP!
OMG
Why the h-e-double-hockey-sticks did Congress fund this??? Burn it all down. Republican majority? Hah!!! They are just as bad as the RATs. Trump, Trump, Trump!
thank you so much, Paul Ryan.
You traitor.
